Green Crack Kush has a very strong lemon smell, also I've had some WW that had a very strong lemon smell cured perfectly...
What strains are the most LEMON tasting and smelling? Just pure lemon!

I don't doubt you had a citrusy sweet skunk cut, buut the real deal SOL 93/94 sweet skunk clone that floats around BC is a truely lemony. It's different from the SPG sickly sweet grapefruit taste/smell, if you smoke it you will know what I mean .. Just trust me on this I have seen and sampled from literally tonnes of SPG in the last few years (it's REALLY popular here in BC) and it's nice but not comparable to the sweet skunk clone . Check out Cannabis world they got lots of good pics of her there. For some reason the asians in BC really like the SPG (fast and easy to grow/good bag appeal I'd guess) and they mass produce the shit out of it, this unfortunately made it nearly worthless and forced all the people with properly grown SPG to find something else to grow. Top notch AAA indoor grapefruit doesn't sell for more than 1800-2000 now it's pretty funny/fucked up... it's got a bad rep here.
Also look into reefs love potion, pretty sure he selected for lemon for a few years on that one. A big european pharma company actually bought the love potion clone off of Reef to make Sativex or some Cannabis spray out of due to the medical properties of the limonene (lemon terpenes).

Trust me man I had the official Swt Sk cut a long long time ago, I went through alot to get it back then and the drive home was quite the adventure lol. 
I also never grew it out in soil it was always in hydro (even the mother) and I have noticed that there are big differences in aromas & terpene production dependent upon environment and how it's grown media wise, chemical or organic ect all. Probably what I refer to as citrus is what everyone else would call a lemon.
So yeah, I don't have the pure cut anymore since I moved from NJ to Cali but I have crosses of it which have some quite Swt Sk leaning phenos. I am looking for something different though and new for a very rooty tooty fresh & fruity breeding project.

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but schrom has a great lemony smell and taste that carries with the smoke even in the exhale...

grape lemonaid is a little something i whipped up, it is 10 years of my life really, the swiss mom was thee best plant i have worked with till i lost her in some unfortunate incident...but luckily before i lost her i had crossed her to my godzlla stud...i have 4 gl f1 moms, the ones pictured are 24 and 29(the live shot is 29.) my friend went through 20 or so to find gl#1 and i went through 72 seeds to find #21,#24,#29..all i can go by is memory, but i think i have done a pretty good job for the first selections...this will prolly take another decade before im satisfied
it leaves a very lemon hazey incense funk when smoked....this smoke can go through a carbon filter and still reek your house up bad

the lemon g cut in the midwest is love potion #2 and its great. a real winner for sure.

im growing lemon venom that stinks of lemon but it doesnt really come through in the cure it tends to be more kushy.
also i have jacks cleaner that smells like lemon floor cleaner or pine fresh cleaner this does come through on the cure.
i have also crossed the two, and have numurous different lemon tasting offspring that range from deep sativa to deep indica and the all smell like lemon skunk but less skunky. ive grown lots of lemon/citrus plants and the above are some of the best smelling but for lemon taste its got to be the sativa pheno from my cross

although i have never tried sub-cool tga's strain if never heard a bad thing about them ever! maby worth looking into?
The only thing I constantly hear about their strains is the panic and anxiety from many of them and that is no bueno for me I like the other side of the fence effect wise.
Other than that though, yeah they have some great stuff. Jack's Cleaner is probably one of the strongest strains on planet earth.
