could be... you also have badly purpled stems which is a sign of Phos def, most commonly associated with pH lock out... (and probably the most common problem I see in this section besides heat stress)

maybe try popping the plants out of the pots and looking at the root mass... see if its curling round n round itself...

We are new growers and were wondering about a few purple stems we have as well. Your opinion is most appreciated:thank you:

you guys should also know that some strains nearly always display these red/purple stems (they're just phos hungry) the UK Cheese is a good example of that, it nearly always gets red stems...

the pH 6.5-7 in soil is bang on mate...

good luck

depends on the cause mate... but more often than not the cause lies in pH imblanaces so first thing to do is check you medium/run off pH and see what the score is there..

wow :)

Now we can see the pots, they were definitely rootbound mate... trimming root masses won't cause damage as such but it will slow growth (trimming roots is actually how you keep mums and bonsai mums at the right size ;) )

and seeing the roots themselves also tells us thats where your problem was... hopefully you'll use bigger pots next time or don't veg so big and run more, smaller plants ;)

they look like they're recovering ok mate if that's 6 days after treatment :)
