I thought I heard the human vuvuzela blowing again.

A pretty apt description, but I do have to admit that Jack has accomplished some things. For instance, he has single-handedly been responsible for redirecting far too much of my time from reading ICMag to other things.

No it's currently a misdemeanor...so the people you know who got a ticket also have a misdemeanor drug conviction on their perm record even though they never got arrested.

Wow.. Fellas take time to think about yourselves..

There is more than one way to look at this

Supporting your enemies? Friend Opposition in the debate is an American Duty. It's part of our system of Representative Democracy.
What I am for is not Cannabis Prohibition I am for real Legalization and not just the Decriminalization of Prop 19. The idea that we are limited to 5x5 and no more before we are arrested and evicted is something I am already fighting against. I am not waiting for Prop 19 La-la land to happen.
We have lived so long under Prohibition that offering us more Comfortable Cannabis Chains looks like freedom to many.
Sure it is Change but there are a few things Prop 19 is not.
Relax guys the polls are holding tight at 50% support to 40% against. Something bad like low Pro-Prop 19 voter turn out will have to happen before Prop 19 fails to pass.
So guys please step back.. Take a Shower and try to think outside the box. No one keeps up a constant drone without looking foolish. I certainly have other interests. One of them is to find out more about the Red One.

It is really hard to keep chasing monkeys in the head if you know what I mean; There are 63 days until Tuesday, 2 November 2010.

BULLSHIT

That is great!! Even tho it is not an arrestable offense for under an oz right now, taking it out of the Misdemeanor category, and making it a civil infraction means that it will not show up as an arrest on your Record, and also they will not be able to Pad the Arrest Stats with simple possession anymore-- Watch those stats get cut in half!!:dance013:

is it only an infraction for first offense or is it every time?

Nor will this infraction keep students from getting Student Aid, like a misdemeanor would.

Currently is a cit-able misdemeanor, they can't arrest you if you have less than an ounce, ID and promise to show up in court.

What I think is awesome is the honest dialog about marijuana has been rekindled because of Prop 19,love or hate Richard Lee he got the ball rolling again.Even the most conservative media groups are acknowledging the elephant in the room, and some are surprising me with their opinions.

Guys things didn't happen that way.

Go back and reread things.. I was asking to know more about someone. That is all.

I have this thing where when i see someone of interest I want to know more about them before I judge them.

So yes that is great news people and let's hope the Governator signs it.

That will go a long way to helping folks.

I had a member of my Union get busted for a pipe and a bud at a traffic stop. Not for being high.. Not for anything more than doing a California Stop.
She lost her job because it was investigated and they visited her place of employment naturally notifying the company she had a drug charge.
That gave the company probable cause to piss test and naturally she declined to have a Work Conviction too.

She was a warm and caring person.

this will be a great wedge issue to drive states rights libertarians from the christian conservative right. We might see marijuana legalization as a national issue.

Did you hear the NPR story too?

The California Ag commission I believe was trying to do what they do, plan out the Ag futures and they too had to admit there was a Huge Elephant in the room they were not talking about. Cannabis.

it is that, the dialog has kicked up and the 'MJ question' is back on the front burner
CNBC talks it up quite a bit, and i heard them mention the opposition of cali growers to the proposition
and you gotta think some of that came from this site, if only indirectly

I was just talking to you in a public place is all.
Wow, is this an example of you way over the top.
Do you have grow pictures?
I am wondering who you are.

----------------------

I just read the other replies from other people..

Man, you guys are freaks.. Tweeking comes to mind.

Can't see anything but the hate in your hearts.

Remember I am for more rights for gardeners and tokers not less. I am not the enemy.

I know some here on a personal level and they don't post pics. They grow but because of the prohibition you support, they are afraid to post pics.

Also this "Remember I am for more rights for gardeners and tokers not less. I am not the enemy." is total bullshit and you know it. If you were for pot gardeners you would vote to remove the current felony for said gardening. Just because the limits do not appeal to you gives you no right to make that decision for someone else...right?..jack the med grower who has 215?

That whole post could be summed up as "I gots mine"

You have shown to me that you are NOT a friend of the recreational cannabis user. You would rather they keep going to jail for growing a plant because YOU think they deserve more. That is so backwards it's not even funny. You contradict yourself with every sentence. You call for freedom and at the same time side with the status quo. 19 is not the end all and we know it. It is a step in the right direction...and by direction I mean a path that keeps LEO off mine and everyone else back.

"63 days" yep and if 19 fails in 64 days someone will go to jail for something they shouldn't of.

yeah i looked up the law again, that sucks for them.

i feel you, likely hood of getting off easy deminishes i imagine. on occasion. it also depends on what neighborhood your in for everyone.

Currently is a cit-able misdemeanor, they can't arrest you if you have less than an ounce, ID and promise to show up in court.

right on, thanks

So i think i have moved ever so slightly to the yes side of the fence, yet im far from happy with 19 but as long as it doesnt effect mmj and i dont have to take any steps back i can live with it. i can see it as a platform for properly reformed mj laws and I personally must start and do my part to become an active contributor to the cause, and will do so regardless of the outcome come november.

later guys,
peace

Jack, this scenario is exactly what is best about prop 19. She now has no protection, but prop 19 would have protected her from all of this. No ticket for the possession, no right for the employer to do the drug test.

This is the freedom we need to be fighting for right now Jack!!! When you think about your friend and what she needed doesn't it seem trivial to be risking that kind of protection for a bigger grow and the right to transport weight? She got fucked because of the prohibition Californians are perpetuating if they vote no on this prop.
