Ice Cream (Paradise Seeds) New

I've ran magicbud and whiteberry,.. Both of these exhibited 'lemon metal' aromas during some stage in flower, especially the WB, makes me believe that indeed SS is involved in both strains..
Pics in my album of the WB.. The MB comes down in a week.

Are there any fruity SS phenos? The icecream indicas had more of a berry, candy licorice smell, with some severe overtones of rotting meat. Maybe thats the metal smell you refer of?

The sativas were piney with maybe a hint of lemon. It reminded me of fresh pine cones or like fresh sap.

That's a good question and I'm inclined to say yes, but I'm not sure why,. Be it that i've read it somewhere here or that I've grown out SS myself and it was most definitley fruity however the SS I grew out was from HGSeeds, so most probably not the real thing..

The smell I described WB pheno3 was a lemon metal in early flower, then into metallic vomit then late flower it was berry vomit, like a puked strawberry milkshake..
Pheno1 stayed lemon metal but wasnt very resinous

i 100%agree theres sensistar in it somewhere i personally think its there base for most of there strains. ive grown the spoetnik and it had that familar ss smell to it aswell. im not complainin i love ss and what it adds to there indica strains. i have nuthin but great things to say about paradise. i cant wait to try one of there sativas in the future.

Thanks for your input on the Sensi Star similarities. I was recently around some flowering Kyle Kushman Strawberry Cough, and I swear it smells 98% identical to the majority of the Ice Cream and even some of the Opium Phenos. The very specific sharp and sweet smell is shockingly similar. It's a kind of strawberry/mild-vanilla smell brings me right back to seeing the fruity Ice Creams and Opium phenos in flower. I've never come across such a smell other than these 3 strains. 70% of the Ice Cream's had a Pine smell/taste hidden in the back of the taste/smell, although, the 'supposedly' KKSC smell/taste was still evident in those phenos.

It may not be, but I have a keen feeling about it being a Sensi Star (M) x Kyle Kushman Strawberry Cough (F)

Has anyone smoked both Ice Cream and Flo.. they sound similar in high, ice cream more indica.. I have some c99 males and I'm considering crossing them to ice cream to create a similar zen-vibe with a more party high, like flo, i think flo has perfect high, but has other problems; flo is very stress sensitive, doesn't like nutes, yields low and hardly clones.. maybe i could find a more sativa pheno in ice cream which will give me what i want aswell.

I would highly recommend crossing it with a c99, especially a pineapple pheno or even an Apollo 11. That would be amazing. My friend finally got the Apollo 11 Genius (Zig Zag growth) cut, that I've been looking for - for over 7+ years. I'm extremely happy it was gifted to him from a moderator on overgrow.com - it's (C99 x Genius)

Okay then, i need to get some Icecream beans. They will be dusted with every c99 male i have and progeny from each will be tested for desired results. If it turns out a success I'll probably send some to the bay and AOS. Would you say the icecream has a lazy or active high?

Nice to see some love for this strain. My last grow which was a while ago, was infact Paradise's ice cream. I was trying to decide which strain to grow, and I happened to buy the "then" current issue of Hightimes, and the budshot centerfold was of ice cream. After looking at the pics and reading the description I was sold.

I didn't get a huge yield but was only using a 400w MH/HPS. Also it was my first time doing a scrog. But the pheno I had did indeed smell like vanilla/pine just as the description described. One of the most unique smelling strains I've ever smelled (#1 prize for aroma go's to Nevilles haze IMHO...so far)

The high was also great. to me it felt more like a sativa head high, but then again... I never really get the true "couch lock" indica's are known for.... even when smoking the strongest of indicas.

Anyways... I deffinately would recomend this strain to anyone. When I first decided this was the strain I'd grow... I went to the paradise website and found out they didn't ship to the U.S. Luckily at the time, they were selling the seeds @ seedbay and they have no problem shipping to the U.S. :

Your comments are very relatable, I'm sure that we are describing the same aromas. I've never had the kksc but yes u are right, the smell discriptions point to something very familliar (to us). Except for the ones describing a 'fresh' smell of berries,. To me it's more artificially sweet pink vanilla, notice how a strawb milkshake tastes different then fresh strawbs, like that.
And very captivating it is, almost sickly addictive (to the point that it made me feel queasy in the stomach a few times lol, strawb/vanilla overload..
Nugs dry to a (mouthwatering) chemical/turpentine funk wen cracked open,.. My buddy actually got pulled over with a little sample nug, straight away Leo asks 'where's the pot?'..
Wots the smell after cure in the kksc? And, can u see any other similarities? Ive noticed that paradise indica Dom strains finish very fast.

I harvested the magicbud, it's been in jars a week. Unfortunatley only 2 phenos were grown out properly, the rest were pushed to the side and neglected (this was a LUI pheno hunt grow, poor mb's deserved better, and are better IMO

SuperHemp- this is a pic of 'floja' which is flo x double purple doja.
I was gifted f2s of these, vigorous, smell comes thru to taste, stone is clear and quality, finishes in 8 weeks. (props to nk for the pic)

Great info. I also have The original Floja Beans, haven't gotten around to popping them. I picked up almost the whole Outlaw Genetics collection before he got popped. I got DPD crossed with all of these:

DPD... X SFV OG | X ECSD | X Indiana Bubble Gum | X Grand Daddy | X Blueberry | X Triple OG. I missed out on the X Purple Urkle and X Pre 98 Bubba =\

Double Purple Doja = Apollo 13 x Black Russian [AK 47 x Blackberry]. Since Apollo 13 is a close relative of C99 and Apollo 11, I wonder how DPD would do crossed to C99!

Most of the Ice Cream's are 60 (Indica)/40 (Sativa). However they have a really nice stimulating high, with a great euphoric body stone as well. It sweeps slowly over your body warming it up, and the Sativa influences register all over your body as well. It would be amazing with C99, maybe a strong pineapple pheno. Also some more indica hybrid like with Dj's Blueberry or dank ass Orig Sour Diesel or Head band x Ice Cream crosses. heh. I've yet to see a single Ice Cream cross myself. =\

Glad you got to experience the unique and amazing vanilla/pine and sometimes vanilla/strawberry/pine. One of the Paradise Seeds Opium phenos I saw also had a very similar vanilla/strawberry/pine smell. Down the road I really want to try out the whole paradise seed collection. The next ones on the list are Nebula, Sensi Star, Delahaze. In order =]

That is seriously impressive you are going to get a whopping yield from that plant. You ever think about making a grow log of it, so everyone can see how it comes along. Or at least post more pics back here when it starts and finishes flowering?

I'm sure everyone on this thread would be excited to see how that turns out. You are a lucky man, with the amount of Ice Cream you will have to smoke for awhile. Quite the headstash, that plant could create. =]
