KRUSTY, AGAIN

^Gotta agree with DHF, been using pond liner for years with no ill effects, and I'm a picky/ocd son of a bitch.

As far as washin it......Did so in each of 8 flip rooms at 4 locations every 9 weeks after harvey with lil dish detergent and bleach mixed in a big ass spray bottle till I tore the shit out and hauled it off after a yr of growin my ass off at each location.........so........

8 flip rooms is two flowering rooms per location? and veg and mom's rooms were at one of the locations? i believe that is called "heavy pimpin'" or "ballin"".

Since I`m not glowin in the dark from smokin my nugz exposed DIRECTLY to pondliner for 15 yrs........What`s wrong with it........

oh well, leaves something for the kids to try to accomplish.

Diamond...... All my rooms once changed from 1 setup to another were identical with 2 rooms side by side for bloom rooms , with mom, clone , pre-veg at another spot.......Hauled prevegged , trimmed , and pruned plants to swapouts every 9 weeks for my rotations , but they finished every 4 1/2-5 weeks so that`s where perpetual comes in swappin out each room every 4 1/2-5 weeks instead of every 9-10 after chop , trim , drying/curing , cleaning , and re-plant........Did away with all the stagnant downtimes with different locations and the ability to pull 1 room and replant it the same day.......

sounds like a lot of work to setup and then a lot of work for a few days every few weeks. but surely the work paid off. you were probably regularly pulling 1gpw. must have been making mad $$$$$.

For the record.....Only ran 3 diff setups in 15 yrs , Krusty`s , ebb and flow 5-gal buckets in flip rooms that turned into the vertical rack rooms the last 3 yrs before shutdown....... and yeah......I`m chillin down here amongst all my tarballs on a lil stretch of what usedta be paradise.......place usedta rent and stay booked up from April to October........Not this yr.........Fuckit...Shit`s paid for......

Still rainin down heah , but peaceful and bout ta stop......Me and the dawg ain`t mindin it much at all.........We`re bout ta walk down the pier ta catch some redfish and speckled trout fer supper , and then there`s the crab traps with several in each last check......Got a turkey fryer ta boil the crabs , and a smoker/grill fer tha fishes.......

Ya`ll come......DHF.......

man. im really sorry to hear about what those bastards did to our beautiful america. it's horrible. the spill makes me depressed to think about it and i don't even live there.

hopefully it will be clean again someday, back to normal. sportsmans paradise. sounds like you can still catch a good dinner though, so that is good to hear. sounds real nice man.

is it possible to do hand-watering in a system like the vertical-shelf grows you did and heath did? i mean, can you reach the plants with a jug to pour in water or are feed lines necessary because there is no room?

also, can you imagine and efficient vert./shelf system with larger plants and small # sites? perhaps 8 weeks veg time for each plant?

have you tried many possibilities with the vert shelf system?

hr was saying that he didnt have to use both ac and chillers for his vert shelf grows. for real? did you find that to be true in your system? can one expect to use less or the same as usual, 3,500BTU for every 1K light?
and where do yas stick the huey? i can't see no room inside the 6'x6' enclosure. what model dehuey were u using per 6'x6'?

The top colas ended up 6-8" from the lights , but with a column of air pushin heat straight up and gettin sucked out through the exhaust/scrubber combo`s mounted in the corners on the ceilings , I never had heat stress or light scorching in any of the rooms.......and no.....

I can`t see any handwaterin goin on without gettin tatooed permanently on the head and neck , shoulders and arms.......Bare bulbs bite that ass.....quick........got several scars/war wounds ta prove it......

Guys over at farmer doin those mpb`s were gettin bit left and right cuz they`d never run bare bulbs before......One guy built lil chicken wire cages round em for safety buffers....lol.......stoner ingenuity........where there`s a will , there`s a way...

Never knew Heathie ta use a/c in hardly any of his grows Diamond , but he lives in the UK where the basements/cellars are damp and cold yr round........at least that`s what he`s told me all these yrs and he`s never been prone to run buncha lights anyways , but he`s the one that told me bout that twice per minute room air exchange many yrs ago , and it works well......My a/c`s and dehuey`s never ran non stop because of that constant airflow.....but.....not knowin and...........

Me bein from Hell.........I hadta make sure environment would work before spendin buncha cash on different locations , and that`s when I swapped from krusty buckets to buildin DIY ebb and flow 5 gal buckets from talkin with Heath for about a yr watchin his multi-flow setups.........

For the vertical rack rooms as I said earlier I angled the corners to kinda make the rooms like a stop sign as my method of madness for all the equipment to be mounted thru the walls and one as a room entry hatch door down low....... ,.

45 pint dehuey in one corner , 1 ton portable a/c/w/heat in the other corner , scrubber exhaust combo up high in another corner , and active intake down low in the opposite corner........

2 wall fans down low , and 2 wall fans up high ..all on up and down opposite corners for that vortex of circulating fresh air above and below the plants , but never on em........

Entry way was up under the a/c unit mounted up high since cold air falls........

I did ok over the yrs , but never made a buncha money........I built equity in real estate so my son`ll have somethin ta fall back on once I`m gone........

That`s the lil fucker that`s gonna HAVE somethin some of these days.......

Hope that cleared up some things for yas .......Fish and crab was more than me and the dawg could handle fer supper last night , so bein the good neighbor I am , I took the rest to some old folks down the road......

Speckled trout and redfish with french fries and hushpuppies with boiled crabs.....They sho did appreciate it.......Not many folks down here and it`s FUKIN LABOR DAY WEEKEND.........usually can`t drive down here for the folks on their last vacation........

Fuck BP.........DHF......

wow. so now i know what you meant, ten or twenty posts ago when you talked about blowing the heat straight up and out the room. you mentioned this a while ago. i get it now. one scrubber for each corner of room? and one "muffin" shaped fan blowin straight up through the chain of lights?

and no.....

haha. I saw that move. hilarious to think about it.

how oft are you running the huey? santa fe classic? where was ya positionin it? pick a wall?

is the place you live actually called Hell? im going to look it up. seems you learned as much from heath as you did from Krusty? have you ever met these guys in person? did heath study krusty too? i guess he must have in some form or another.

dude, thanks for explaining this to me. i am grateful, truly.

good man. fresh crab is awesome. i love seafood, generally. i could live on the gulf for sure. i love fishing and boats. i lived on an island off of florida for a while. it was inhabited solely by vagrants. stayed there for a few months with a bunch of other street kids. one of the kids' name was grasshopper. he stole me string. then we become friends and picked trashbags full of mushrooms. you know. we were f'in hitchiking with this stuff. good times. peace holmes. thanks.

My Brutha.........Bonzo Rooni.........Cmere........

Been missin yas.......Freds......:ying:........

I used perlite in my 5 gal coco smartpots with a 1/3 chunks , 1/3 fibers , and 1/3 fully screened and washed, then dried out perlite......If yas use FoxFarms big and chunky perlite , you`ll pay as much per bag as the other soiless medium itself.......might be worth it ta some , but I usedta run buncha containers and budget was everything using multiple locations with 4-5 powerbills and mortgage payments per month......

just going over the thread now that i understand you and ther lingo better. so you are talking about 5gal coco smartpots, i assume you are also talking about your vert system here.

you used a mixture of coco and perlite as your medium. i have a couple of questions please.

just to make sure i understand you, you used 1/3 coco chunks; 1/3 coco fibers, and I/3 perlite (which you washed before use)?

was this mixture of thirds, all equally mixed together?

I`ve always used vortex inline fans with never a failure , plus the warranty can`t be beat.......I also used active intakes on thermostats and speed controllers to create negative pressure inside the rooms to insure there wasn`t more air coming in than the exhaust/scrubber combo could pull out to insure no smelly/stank air could seep out..........Kept the a/c`s from runnin 24/7 as well.....

i can't figure out how this works, "active intake". will you please explain this to me. how do you get the room to be negative pressure and timer and thermostat controlled? what gear does this involve exactly; brand and model? thanks

im talking about your coco vert setup. thanks

The 1/3 mixture of my setups for the coco runs were in baled chunks and fibers with the difference being made up with the washed and screened perlite from the 4 cu ft bags....

Pure eyeball......just guessin on percentages when mixin pallets of shit together after hydrating ok ?.......But I`m pretty damn good.......

An active intake is just that ......active ...., but controlled by being plugged into thermostats and router speed controllers so as to not overtake the exhaust/scrubber combo cfm`s for the negative pressure effect leaving all smells and such inside the rooms instead of not dialed conditions that push more air into the rooms than can be pulled out creating all the air loss and smell leaking from the rooms.........Gotta suck out more than gets sucked in for negative pressure Bro.......

Diamond.........these plug in thermostats and router speed controllers are available with a lil homework........Sorry if I didn`t make things understandable although I usually do......

Harborfreight.com for the router speed controllers and horticulturesource.com for the inline thermostats........

Now get ta work my buddy......lookin for a killer show outta you real soon..........

Peace....DHF.......:ying:........
