Im not a sensi hater, ive grown over 20 packs of thier seeds and always felt like i got a quality product. Ive also grown out over 30 packs of femmed seed from 8 different companies, so i know what to expect from femmed seeds.

Ive grown outdoors for years.
Ive grown Sensi's SK#1 twice over the years
Ive grown Early Pearl twice
Ive grown Early Skunk regular seeds.

I ordered Sensi's Femminized Early Skunk, what i got in my pack was standard Sensi Skunk #1 seeds. Not feminized, and not early skunk.

I had 7 plants reach outdoor maturity. 3 males, 4 females. There were 2 pheno's. Two of the seven were indica leaning pheno's with some purpling and long branches =2 meters. Five of the seven plants was a very tall, 3+m, sativa looking hybrid pheno.

The short pheno, just like Sk1, will finish 3rd week of octbober. The sativa pheno of skunk 1 doesnt finish until mid to late november. Those are the 2 pheno's in my 10 pack of femmed Early skunk seeds.

There isnt any Early Pearl in the seeds they sent me. I know EP

Ive emailed sensi to tell them that the seeds in the pack ARE NOT the seeds advertised on the packaging.

I have grown out their Purple Pinecone fems, they were really good smoke and no issues with the sex. Not trying to start crap, just saying I had no problem with their Purple Pinecone, have not tried the others yet, I also did their Indica XXL and all were female, but the smoke could have been better, just my 2 cents :)

Damn, that's a shame i bought a pack of shiva skunk not long ago. Seems like Sensi have really gone down the pan the more i read around.

this is not new info. since the old man retired, sensi seeds has been in a downward spiral with their genetics. i highly doubt they are making any seed these days and farm the jobs out to other breeders and we see the results.

and btw, at least you received viable seed. my last beef was over sensi seed stock that would not germ. this never happened in the day. and when i complained they blew me off. and like others, i bought a lot of sensi seed stock over the years and i still go through a lot of seed. but no more sensi seed considering treatment of clients. the last laugh shall be mine. peace-biteme

thanks for posting i will tell my friends about tfd and sensi ,it is pretty sad when you can not even get a simple skunk from these companys ,i have had to throw out a lot of hack plants for the 3 people i grow for and it seems a lot of these companys are buying their seeds instead of making them .i try not to name names since it would look like i am trying to promote my self but there is way to much greed and to little compassion and honesty in the beans today.aloha cls

never grown there fems but, ive grown there maple leaf indica, early girl, jamacan pearl, early pearl. last year and this year they've been exactly what there distcripions say no complants thus far but thats a bummer about your beans. i really enjoy the jamacan pearl and it has earned a spot in my garden forever. also f2s are so close to f1s i wont be buying that strain untill i run out of seeds. i think people grow sensi stuff out dry it and give up on it. from my experience most sensi strains ive grow require a very very long cure before they really shine. just what ive seen in my garden.

It seems to me that most breeders, unless they outsource their breeding to other people (and you don't do that if you have unique genetics because it won't stay unique), only are able to work with a few males at a time. Usually only 1.
Many Dutch companies will often use skunk #1 as the male in most of their crosses, its well known that Nirvana does that, and I think most assume that sensi and DP and really anyone with a huge catalog on stock all the time does it

I suspect you got early pearl x skunk

Remember Every strain that is not an ibl requires a male to be kept for that strain to be pure. Sensi sells a lot of strains that are not IBL's. Do the math. Feminized strains are even worse. Did you really expect Sensi to have reversed 20 different males and they are all ready for sale at the same time for market? No way

There are probably a few sensi strains that will remain gold. such as NL5x haze and jack herer. But all the hybrids....a lot of those are going to be diluted or skunk/nl crosses

Its just the nature of the game.

how will jack and nl5xhaze continue being quality if they lost one or more of the parents. quality, maybe, the same as older releases, no.

I meant that sensi probably actually keeps a special haze male to make their hallmark strains.

Whereas a strain like early pearl, is going to be different parents each time. Meaning that sensi has two choices for seeds. A diluted IBL which often times lacks vigor and will require a male and female EP. Or an F1 cross with skunk which they are going to use for other crosses in their catalog anyway

And when you're talking about feminized strains, are they gonna take the time to reverse an early pearl male? Judging by the poster's complaint, apparently not. I suppose they might just all be strait skunk #1 but that would be extra shady.

Gotcha.... I mis-read your original post as saying they lost all of their males.

I sure hope they don't lose the parents to those strains. Those two are legends in the game.
