Hey all,
I'm in the process of expanding a friend and would like to play vertical this time.
We have a 4'x8' Darkroom 240W
Is anyone doing vertical bare bulbs in a tent and still staying cool?
Is there enough room in a 4x8 space to drop two vertical 1000w lights with a circle of plants around each?
We'd like to do something Northern Farmer stadium style with 2 rows of plants on the floor and another row on a slightly higher shelf circling the perimeter of the tent, but I feel that the 4' width isnt enough to do it this way. That'd only leave 2' on each side of the 1K lamp.
Anyways - we water with blumats in coco pots so the plants need to stay relatively low to take advantage of the gravity feed.
Anyone have any ideas that we could go vertical in this small 4x8 darkroom?
We have 3 600w lights at our disposal as well if that'd be better suited for something northern farmer stadium style down the middle of the tent. Still dont know if we'd have enough room.
As for keeping cool. House has NO ac. Right now we pull through a can filter 66 w/ 6in vortex and send that heat through 1800w daystar ACs to an upstairs unused bedroom. Intake is just passive off the basement floor. Its worked this summer.
So - any suggestions.
4x8 Darkroom
2 1000w lights and 3 600w lights at our disposal
Various 6" inlines as well as a MAX 8" available
Daystar ACs available if we MUST go horizontal
Winter is headed so we want to take advantage of the cold weather as well as heat the house to keep gas bills low.
This 4x8 Darkroom would be in addition to another 4x8 darkroom that sits in the same basement that we'll continue to run 1800w horizontally.
Thanks-
note - Have ran vertical bulbs before / 9 600w lights hung bare bulb vertical with a lot of plants underneath. Yielded well but think we should have done less plants to actually drop the bulbs down in the canopy to take advantage of true vertical style.
