This isn't done anymore. You should do some more reading on the subject. The only back crossing done is back to the clone you started with. There is no cheating.. lol. I just wanted to make this clear so people aren't getting outdated info on what is going on. There is enough "wifes tales" allready.

The market is so related because no one wants to put in the work. You should just be happy MD is pionering some stuff instead of selecting from allready avail genetics.

My Blue Streaks were very good on taste department, but potency was low.

I've grown over 10 different AF strains in past 2 years in greenhouse. And all are pretty much the same. There's usually more variation betveen inviduals of one strain than two inviduals of different strains!

That's why there's so much different opinions on AF "strains". Breeders should try to stabilize their product before they start selling it. I believe that they do backcrosses back to LR-strains to get AF locked faster. This slows down the improvement of AF strains, and keeps all the strains in market closely related.

I understand it takes time to take strain to F5 and beyond, but it's the only way to do it right!

No disrespect taken. You actually made a very good point. Those Blue Streaks, were worked over by a famous auto breeder, who some how gave me back something different (very long, and complicated story). I am not making Blue Streak available anymore, and if you noticed only knock-offs are available anymore. I like your post.

Welcome back MD, thats a bold statment about the Sour 60, lets be honest here, we all know that you havent tested your S60 against all the autos on the market today, your statement is a bit reaching. Saying something like S60 is better then the strains you have testing it against might be a little more accurate, dont you think??

As for all the new autos well you know how they show up most of them are AF x AF crosses and not really NEW AF Hybrids persay, But they are still new AF varieties. Thus the reason most of those new autos show so much variation when grown. Your work is great MD not doubt about that. I agree with your push to show the wannabie breeders are just out to make a fast buck producing unstable crap and pushing them on the unknowing consumer. It is sad that more breeders can't be like you. Just don't get to cocky bro, there can always be another breeder out there hiding in the shadows that works just as hard and produces great work like you.

Another great post. Yes I should rephrase that. It blew away "White Dwarf", "Lil Devil", "Roadrunner", and one or two more, so your exactly right. I need to try the rest before I say that, but I meant in this area I live in. Not autos world-wide, to which I obviously have not tried yet. The next batch of Sour 60 will be a better pheno, as each release will be better. As you can see though, I only make them available here at SD.

Welcome back. I have a tub of Bluestreak growing at all times because it taste great and his a nice up high. I also grew sour 60 and they were nice tall plants, no hermies and I like the taste and high of that one also. I also love and grow MasterLow..sort of an old hippie stone to it...not real strong but nice. I appreciate the your work and look forward to growing more. Also, I just went through major surgery for cancer and I was able to maintain my garden with just a little help from my partner. If I had to clone and keep moms...that would be too much work for me. I only grow autos.

I don't know what it is but I had one blue Streak that was absolutely outstanding. Really very good in the potency department. It happened to be the first bud I cut off. It was not just me several others smoked some of that bud and were super impressed. My thinking was they would all be like that because they all looked good. Unfortunately I mixed it's seeds with the rest. Arrgh. Don't get me wrong I liked the others but the one was special. So somewhere in Blue Streak resides a real winner. I hope you revisit the BLS some day. The quality of the high much superior. A perfect balance. Maybe backcross to BlueBerry again?

i think i had one of those this past time. i crossed it with lr#2. should be an amazing combo. it was super potent even though it was fully pollinated.

Mine was also covered in seeds. The bud I speak of was cut early off the top of one plant. The top of the plant was not seeded though. Maybe cutting before the pistils turn is better for Blue Streak. Any one else do this. Next time I grow some I'll do that. Hope your BLS x lr#2 lights the fire. Should be good.

I have taken Bluestreak at 45-50 days ...and use it for some "quick buds" the effect is strong and last a good while.

Do you think it's stronger than when then pistils turn? Maybe it needs to be pulled earlier than other plants. I have some right now that are not quite finished. I may cut the top off of it tomorrow.

with that being said, I usually dont visit that often in the summer months. I will be around a lot more now, and I have some pictures to post right now, well maybe in a couple of hours. Good to see so many new autos out there. I am in a safe medical state now, and Ive had my Sour 60 out there in the public, and well, it has done exceptionally well against all standard strains, and completely blown away all other autos, wasnt even close. So how do all of these autos come about so quickly? when it takes years to make quality autos, unless ofcourse you just cross a couple of breeders strains, and voila! you have your very own auto. Well, needless to say, I havent been lazy. I have acquired an outstanding "Purple O.G. Kush" cutting, and I will be using my original Master Low to make an auto-kush, to blow all others away. Am I cocky? F*ck yeah! But I love and miss you all.

Also sad to see a few of my very close friends let me down. I thought I had the lead on some excellent clones of my favorite U.S. breeder, and I was dissed. Owe well, I do have name for this auto, and it totally fits.
