I'd suggest re reading the new TOU
They still leave out a few things.
Discussion and grow diarys of strains from some seedbanks are not permitted or so I believe.
Not everything could fit...If Admin made it too long, no one would read the whole thing. The main points are in there.
I mean some things are pretty taboo here

8a. As a privately owned site, we retain the right to prohibit information posted in threads, posts, and signature lines that contains information pertaining to commercial products/entities that do not pay for advertisement or are not products represented by the owner of this site.
8b. Any variety of cannabis can be entered for inclusion in the IC Strain Guide and/or Grow Report section of the Strain Guide. However, posting in the forums outside of these parameters are subject to deletion as Spam.

8a + 8b seem to conflict a little or maybe I'm just a bit slow today.
Babba's quote would seem to suggest that not any strain can be included in the reports/strain guide as does 8a, 8b would seem to suggest the opposite.
So are we permitted to do a report/diary of a strain form vendors who do not advertise here or not?
i'm confused about this too
maybe i'm dense, but i'm thinking i need to just not say what strain i'm growing or something when i update the journal or chime in in the beer cup challenge thread or something?
just be as vague as possible, not mention where it's from or anything. but then what if we are vague, like just the region, "i'm growing oaxacan" but then none of the seeds being sold are oaxacan so they could know anyways?

I think you're cool as long as people don't tell you you're not being cool.
If you check my profile you'll see a couple of pictures of seeds grown that I got from a competitor. I've assumed that as long as I don't mention the seed seller that that much is OK. If I'm mistaken I'd hope a moderater would let me know and I'll remove even that much info. I don't post many pics of my show but got sick of people saying my posts didn't mean anything if I didn't have pictures of my plants in my profile. I really doubt ICMag is picking up more than a marginal increase in sales by not letting people talk about competitors but it is their site. It's just too easy to find all the other vendors. I think that the powers that be here at ICMag should watch "A Miracle on 34th Street" because Santa has an idea that would benefit this site.
