Seeds in my Mandala #1's... DAMN!

Just checked my Mandala #1 today and all of the sudden 3 possibly 4 of the 5 have seeds! One has ALOT of seeds.
What should be done?
We have a bunch of other female plants in the tent that I do NOT want polinated..

These plants are around 2 weeks from harvest, possibly less for the one that doesn't look like it has seeds.

What do you guys think caused this? They didn't have ANY seeds 3 days ago!
I don't think that all 4 hermied.. There are NO light leaks and these plants haven't been stressed much at all..
We did have a plant that was in the tent that hermied.. We then took it out as soon as we could and put it outside. Do you think this caused our problem..?

I really don't want the rest of the plants seeded.. NOT GOOD :(

Any help IC?

BUMP!
Little help here?
I'd like to prevent this from getting any worse.. The quicker the better

clp i think me and you are the only ones growing Man1 i would harvest early to keep the other plants from getting seeded. the big ????? is who has the nuts i am not that impressed with Man1 the plants start nice and smell good and are very cheap and have a good male to female ratio but just not that impressive! i have 5 beans left of these left and iam in no rush to grow them out.sorry bout your issue and good luck

I'm not sure if it's worth it to harvest early for the other plants.. This setup is done after this crop and I don't know if it's worth it to wait another 10 weeks for my Original Haze X Skunk #1 to finish up.. Especially if there is a chance of them getting polinated!

What are the positives of harvesting early if I dont keep the skunk?

What are the positives of waiting to harvest? (more weight, potency etc)

I'm not quite sure how this works with seeded bud..
I don't even understand how these got seeded!
We took out all males and hermaphrodites as soon as they were spotted. We watched closely too!

My simple question: How the fuck did this happen? :wallbash:

I really liked these Mandala's.. They were AWESOME looking plants until these fucking seeds came in.. Still going to be some dank but damn does the market value/appeal go down fast with these seeds..

Thanks for stoppin through..

Here's what most likely happened...

1 of your plants threw a pollen sac, or a few of them. Look underneath all the buds and try to locate it. You can use the density of the seeding to try and locate where it might have popped.

Second, if there were NO SEEDS 3 days ago, there would not be visible seeds yet. You must have missed them. If its far enough along pollinated that you're seeing the seeds, it happened probably a week or more ago at least.

Damn.. I think the problem may have been a hermaphrodite we had in the tent a few weeks back. It threw some seeds so we immediatly put her outside..
I'm guessing some of the pollen must have gotten on our plants. :(
Anyone have a good pic of a pollen sack?

Is there anything we can do to prevent further seeds?
One of the plants has A TON but some of them only have a couple seeds.
How can we prevent this from getting worse?

You've answered your WHY ?? question ... As soon as you could was obviously not soon enough. If your grow is tight like you said why did the 1 hermie? Was it a Mandala? Mist the air and Clean surfaces with H2O ... water makes cannabis pollen nonviable.

This could absolutely be a genetic flaw. Even with a 100% tight grow, you will always run into intersex anomalies with cannabis, especially with all the crazy breeding that goes on... :)

At this point, this close to harvest... there isn't a whole lot you can do.

It probably won't get any worse (the pollen was already released, and most everything that seeded, is seeded now), but theres not really anything you can do to make it better. Chalk it up to learning the ropes, and clean your grow up before the next run if you think there may be pollen lingering. When dealing with nature, this can happen to anyone. Make sure that the situation wasn't caused by anything you did, and then move on to the next round :)

It surprises me how often this happens and people don't even notice it. I would inspect your plants a little more often from here on out. I am completely OCD when it comes to my plants, I can spot a nanner a mile away.

A "nanner" is not going to cause a large seeding... maybe a few localized seeds, but not what he's talking about.

We must have missed a pollen sack on this plant.. Pretty sure it hermied and then threw a sack if that's how it works? The plant was not a mandala.. It was a random bag seed that produced some TERRIBLE weed. I wish it hadn't even been in the garden but what can ya do..

We will mist the air ASAP and make sure to scrub the walls etc..

What do you guys mean by tight?

This grow had NO light leaks.. It's inside a lightproof Secret Jardin DR150 tent inside of a dark room with no light coming in basically.

Yea.. No point getting upset but this is damn aggravating..
Definetly going to learn this lesson..

Will my Original Haze X Skunk #1 be seeded? They are flowering right next to the Mandala's now.. There are around 10 weeks left but if it's going to be seeded bud it won't be worth it.

Just take that old record off the shelf - the one with the sleeve that folds in the middle and get to deseeding when they're done. Not much else to do at this point. Let em finish, and better luck next round.

The currently seeded mandalas, will not seed the OH Skunk (which i'm also growing by the way, and its at 13 weeks...)

The only way that will seed, is if pollen from the hermie hit it, there's leftover pollen floating around the room, or if there is another hermieing plant in there and it spits again, it could seed.

It should be ok just flowering next to seeded plants, though.

By "tight" we mean light proof, so if you don't have light leaks, i'm sure these were genetic flaws!

They are inspected pretty well every time they are watered and fed.. Must have missed it somehow :(

Great to hear!
How close to done are you at 13 weeks? Is that from 12/12?

I think we will take all plants out and thoroughly wash down the tent and mist the plants.

Damn genetic flaws :(

Yeah, 13 weeks from 12/12...

They look like they're starting to maybe decide to finish...

I think it'll go 15 or 16, though...

Here is a pic of of them (please disregard the yellowing, its from the HPS, in addition to a failed co2 generator that caused me some problems.

Well we took all the plants out of the tent and sprayed it down with water. Anything else to be done to get rid of this pollen?

How long does pollen stay "active" for?

Also check this out on one of our OH X SK #1 plants.. I really do NOT want these seeded!
Is this a seedpod though..? We've only found one.
