6/9 head formula with ro water question

I got a RO filter for flushing and would like to use it for all my watering but I cant figure one thing out. Im using the 6/9 micro/bloom gh formula and with tap water camg+ isnt needed but i hear that with ro water you need to add it. I was wondeirng if anyone had any insight on this or if they know of a nute calc where I can figure it out any help is appreciated, thanks

doesnt sound exactly right,

doesnt sound exactly right,

So whats your tap water ec/ppm before you put it through the ro unit?
I think it should be more the case with hard water nutes.
Ok in general hard water nutes will have 35% less calcium in.
Soft water nutes no worrys theyll be high in calcium.
And of course the RO water will have none.A

Yeah, whats the ppm's of your tap water?
I've used Heads/Rez's 6/9 formula with RO water and most of the time I did not get a cal/mag def.
I switched to full on tap as a matter of convenience.
My tap is 300ppm (so full of cal you can smell it)
Imho, RO doesn't always require the addition of calmag.
I always used the regular GH, not the hard water formula. Even with my 300ppm tap.

Just run with the 6/9 or whatever and observe your plants. Adapt. Be flexible. No need to follow schedules and 'recipes' to the dot. While benzo needs to add ca/mg, I don't! And I also grow Blueberry in coco + a batch in hydro. Just read your plants and keep it simple. Don't over-think it.
