It takes a couple days to tear down, a few months to setup a new pad, and maybe 1 cycle to catch up for your losses. How long do you think you'll get if it was a precursor to a raid? I hope you make the right decision man

First off if they wanted to raid your house they wouldn't walk up and knock on your door they would eye glass you with surveillance and look for points of entry before any predawn raids.

I think the call might be a 911 and due to budget cuts the pig arrived alone wanting to get to the house before some poor fucking woman was beat by her husband or bf he was in the area and wanted to walk up quietly to hear anything like screams or yelling etc.

I would def get a better gate or fence with a silent alarm that once anyone breaches past your entrance they trip the alarm and it alerts you in time to lock doors and get busy with as much of your grow as possible were it would be impossible for them to find it.

fucking shame how we have to live in fear and worry when it should be a legalized plant for all to grow without fear of being popped.

Keep us Informed LM.

Yeah I have one hope in this, if he WAS doing a knock and talk, that he went to the cleanest house on the property (no nothin, not even booze, no weed/guns etc) so he saw and smelled nothing, and instead just met a young innocent gal who just got out of the shower. In other words, nothing about that meeting would have tipped him off that something was going on there. No bong sitting on the table, no weed smell, no tatted-up biker loading a 12-gauge, nothing.

From what I've been reading on the knock and talks, anything he found would have been unusable in procuring a warrant anyway, since he trespassed to get on the property, and would have taken a "non-public route" to get the the naughty side of the basement. The other 3 sides are perfect and totally sanitary.

sounds sketch. i hope all is well. i had this happen somewhat with someone who said he was trying to serve a warrant. Undercover cop? he said he was with some company and i have no idea but that was within the 1st 3 weeks i moved into my new spot and now we are 3 months down the road and nothing happened so i guess im all in the clear, right?

The police have every right to be on your driveway. I'm afraid you have no legal recourse when it comes to that. It simply isn't considered trespassing.

Also if it truly was a DV call the police have every right to enter your house to make sure the person the violence was against isn't still being harmed or in any danger of further harm. The fact they didn't force their way in should let you know that it was to gather intel on you. Whether I was legal or not, I'd be packing up as soon as the current grow was harvasted.

Sounds fishy.Be careful.

sounds sort of familiar....
you have some better connections to finding out the 'truth' than i... hope all comes back clear for you

That does sound like a "knock and talk " be cautious , for sure ....

About ten years ago i got a "knock and talk ", some B.S. about me being in a hit and run.... then bam, 3 weeks later same cop. At my door with swat to ransack my house..Only they didnt knock the second time.... so be careful .. Hopefully it is nothing, just a wrong address like you said. Maybe fix the gate to so they cant squezze in Peace buddy stay safe!

Sorry for this but....

CHOP!

Well, at least I would. Could be under surveillance for all you know man. It's just not worth it.

I know it's the hardest thing you would have to do as a grower is trash a crop right next to going to the penitentiary.

The cops story is too damn fishy.

Could be nothin, could be somethin, how's your gambling luck?

Just my 2 cents.

Hoping for the best man.

With best intentions

in addition to the "domestic dispute" excuse, there's the "911 call that was placed from the residence" lame bullshit

detectives are using patrolmen to gather intel, but they know something already it seems.

I remember you had some drama with a fake/maybe real PGE guy? do some counter surveillance like your going to do with the cameras.

I would probably cut my plant count to 99 or even less and wait it out a month. If nothing happens you'll be kicking yourself for chopping some plants, but if something does happen you'll be kissing the ground you played it smart

Thanks Jack, do you think during your knock and talk that the cops saw, smelled or heard something that contributed to your raid? Because in this case they certainly didnt, there isnt one gram of weed In house they knocked at and never has been.

Man Id like to call the DA here and ask him how many plants a patient can grow, the dea website even has it wrong, lol

I like this Idea, not a total grow death, not a federal case. I'm being told that two driveways up is a house of noisy/rowdy Latino, so just maybe it was innocuous. Maybe.

Man, sorry to hear this...Its bullshit....If you just had a knock and talk with your power company and now the pigs.......You know the deal already....But play it safe, its not worth it....I recently lost all my genetics, all for nothing as it appears, but honestly, I did the right thing. Good luck man, i hope everything works out in your favor.

he was a process server. They are hired by attorneys to serve legal papers such as suits etc on defendants. I had one come to my door once and my wife flipped thinking he was undercover. He was plain clothes with a badge hanging from his neck.

Or maybe a bondsman with a warrant to catch someone who jumped bond.

But no private company is serving criminal arrest warrants

You are wrong. I suggest you look up curtilage

here is one link http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m2194/is_n4_v67/ai_20576402/

Oh and who remembers this guy? I was kind of fond of him....

If there on a true DV, then yes they can probably enter the property. But if they are investigating Lazy, it will come out that they used the fake DV call and the case will be thrown out after he pays a lawyer good money, lost his crops and all his strains. This would be a good argument to send copies of strains elsewhere

He had the gate closed and locked, property fenced. So there is an expectation of privacy and the cop went through a gap and basically snuck onto the property.

Lazy this can go a couple ways. It could be innocent or a knock and talk. Did the cop ask your girl if he could come in? usually they want to come in and check things out on a DV.

Did by any chance she go down the road and see if he responded to a different address?

From what I've been reading on the knock and talks, anything he found would have been unusable in procuring a warrant anyway, since he trespassed to get on the property, and would have taken a "non-public route" to get the the naughty side of the basement. In reality that doesnt matter. That will be up to you to fight. Secondly after seeing the exhausts, they know exactly what is going on. All they need now is to pull electric records, and get a little info.

I am thinking big UHaul truck and move everything out for a few days.

That's what I was thinking as well. Makes sense that if it was a DV the cop would ignore the fence.

Lazy, go to the dispatch office, and request the tape of the 911 call. They have to release it to you, but they may charge you an administrative fee. You'll need the date and approximate time.

My dad was a narcotics LEO. When I was young I was taught to never open the door unless you know the person, period.
No exceptions.

Even if we only smoke and have none a home, there are plenty of reasons not to open our door. We don't live in "Wally World" and everyone is not our friend.

This goes way beyond just cannabis.
