God damn just noticed this thread, krunch my thoughts are with you brother. Not sure what to say aside from good luck. You seem like a really smart guy and I'm sure you'll come out on top... seems like complete and utter bullshit on their end from what you've described...

once again appreciate it.
my year jeep has problems with shorts in the taillights ans i completely replaced them with an aftermarket light system, but not the 3rd brakelight. i wasent aware of an upgrade. shit, i wasent aware you can pulled over for a third brakelight, i though as long as you had your 2 main lights working, your golden, apparently not....

Yeah, they can pull you for ANY light not working (I got nailed years ago for a license plate light being out, ONLY 1 of them!). Check out Ebay, and other sites, for them. One funny thing, my LED taillight assemblies cost less than the LED 3rd brake light did! WTF? :)

Besides looking much sharper, it's just cheap insurance, especially when ridin' dirty. Stupid piggies will look for any reason... :fsu:

Take care bro...

its not like you got busted with 10packs and 50 grand cash....you should be good bro...lawyer up and deny criminal activity. you are a compassionate club owner who gives weeed away for free!

Just had to say this...how can you still have "I do NOT want marijuana legalized..." in your sig? LOL now you see why that is a naive position...

^let it go trolls...19 has nothing to do with this. under 19 they will still prosecute growers who do not comply with richard lee's nazi limits.

I am really saddened and shocked by this situation.
As others have pointed out, no one should ever be detained, arrested, jailed, and robbed for using one of nature's plants. The police are the real criminals here.
For 40 years of my life, I have been persecuted, as you are being now, and for what?
Our own president smoked weed, but stands behind the laws putting others in prison for the same thing.
It makes me sick, quite literally.
You've gotten some good advice here and seem to have your head up and in a good place, under the circumstances.
I am wondering if they took your passport?
They might try that at your next hearing, hopefully not.
The reason I ask is, if they try to hit you with a minimum mandatory sentence because of previous arrests or "manufacturing", leaving the country is an option you may at some time have to consider if the case does not go well.
You do not want to surrender to them for any kind of lengthy sentence. I am guessing and hoping it will not come to that, and some sort of plea deal will be worked out.
However, having served time in the federal penitentiary, I would now never turn myself in for any lengthy sentence. The punishment doesn't stop with your release, but instead continues for the rest of your life, as a criminal record is a permanent stain that impacts your ability to earn for the rest of your life. I have been out for 20 years, but recently lost a job due to an extensive backround check. They usually go back "only" 7 years, but make exceptions in some cases.
About transporting herb: on the rare occasions that I transport a small amount, I use vacuum sealed bags from Sears. The machine costs about $100. I double these, and you cannot smell anything. I have gone through customs numerous times with vacuum sealed bags inside a DVD player, and even dogs did not pick it up.
Also, a taxi is a good idea, as someone else mentioned.
I would lay low now, as they are on to you, and no telling what lengths they may go to to track you. You do not want to get popped again in this time frame.
Good luck and I think you deserve some good kharma.
Hope it all works out and thanks for keeping us posted.
We can all learn from other people's situations.

wrong...

dont give out the wrong information that will get more people busted... sucker

the smell of fish is stopped because it is frozen... DUH... i have tons of fish in my freezer, and it is not in vacuum sealed bags and no my freezer does not smell like fish.. not one bit..

weed will permeate ANYTHING... the one thing that a smell will have a tough time permeating is PVC piping...

go watch barry coopers videos... he will teach you and everyone who believes that smells do not permeate things a lesson or two..

I've seen Barry's videos.

As to the fish, well. I wrapped two pieces of tuna in foil, and threw them in the freezer. Within a couple of days the ice started to smell like fish. Once I vacuum sealed them the smell went away.

I imagine given enough time most smells will permeate anything, but short of glass (I dunno about PVC) I figure vacuum sealing is about the best you can do. It sure beats just a zip lock bag.

Vacuum sealing is great if you use the correct type of bags. Do not use those vacuum sealing bags they sell in the supermarket, which resemble those turkey basting bags or the bags that come with a vaporizer. Use the heavy duty bags that are sold in Sears. They are not gas permeable. Double them up, and you are good. I have gone through customs many times with these.

don't briefcases work well in this type situation?

I would holler at the taxi guy to pop the trunk, throw in my case and hop in the back.

Then I would say pop the trunk when I exited.

Then no one gets a smell.

of course I am talking about people like Krunchie who are legal users.

After reading this thread yesterday and learning it's just a matter of time before odor permeates out regardless of what material the container is made of..

How long was it between packaging up the goods and going through customs?

I agree with the vacuum bags, even if they are gas permeable the vacuum will suck air molecules through to the inside of the bag, further limiting any smell that could get out. From my experience I also agree they are FAR less gas permeable than turkey bags or ziplocks. Just make sure the exterior of the bags are clean...

i have put a single vac seal layer on a pound of GDP..(seal a meal)...left it for a week to sit..and after a week i still couldnt smell anything at all except plastic, even if you put your nose to the bag. when i go out of state to non-med states...my boys usually transport and deliver the pounds in vac seal bags with one layer. here in california we get kinda lax sometimes and dont feel the need to vacseal, but this serves as a reminder. vac seal for the pounds, and jars for the personal stash. i swear by vac seal the shits on point...its well made. those things are made to NOT let air out...i use it for saving veggies, meats, all that. ive put steaks and marinade in vac seal bags and theres absolutely no leakage or smell.

usually if im carrying a pound somewhere its in a turkey bag...the turkey bag goes inside a plastic grocery bag, then put inside of a backpack. then the backpack goes to the trunk..no smell at all unless he pops the trunk. but if your interior is clean with no smell he should have no reason to pop the trunk.

Very sorry this happened to you krunchbubble, or anyone that has been through this. Nobody should go to jail for cannabis.

CEO of a collective, part owner of a hydro store, and as much cannabis as you deal with..... you didn't have a lawyer????

I really hate that. Seems a bit complacent and due to shitty laws this is the result. Well, keep your head up and stay positive. Hope all works out for the better in the end.

i dunno. i rode home today with fried chicken in the trunk and the whole car reeked of KFC.

hang in there krunchbubble.

Clean jar, inside and out, wiped down with rubbing alcohol. AFter it's dry, put bud in jar and vacuum seal it with your meal saver device's jar attachment. Then vacuum seal the jar in a bag for your meal saver device. Then think smart about where to put that. :)
