Right.

I've posted a design previously, but I found that I could build an entire cabinet for about $750 vs that $1k mini box that would have probably been disappointing in the end.

By my estimation, this cabinet should cost around $750 and once built I will post a detailed price list. The only catch is, I'm building the cabinet on a table saw as we speak and will take me a few weeks to complete.

I am torn as to whether or not I want to have one big flowering chamber with a separate propagation unit similar to MrMicro's Nano Machine, indicated by the cabinet on the right, or if I want to have a self contained unit and run a perpetual microsog as indicated by the cabinet on the left.

In my location, plant counts DO matter, and one plant means 5 years. This has to be completely invisible.

Here are the plans.

I vote B! I just tried to build a dual chamber cab with veg + flower and I could not get the internal like leaks under control my plants never flowered. I ending up scrapping the whole cab. There was a silver lining though because I realized I had an original c-13 in my basement which gave me an extra 4 inches in depth. Just enough for me to mount my cooltube front to back and I have up to 40" vertical for plants now. Just need to finish the wiring now.

The cab is 4 feet tall, 34 inches wide, 16 inches deep. Usable space is 41 inches vertical, 30 inches wide, and 14 inches deep. Fan will be either a Panasonic Whisper Ceiling 4 inch duct 110 CFM vent fan or a Panasonic Whisper ceiling 6 inch duct 150 CFM vent fan depending on your suggestions. Lights will be AHSupply reflectors and six 55w power compacts for 330w PL-L. Vents are darkroom vents from Adorama. The air purification will be a Phresh Filter 4x12 or a 6x16. Do you think that the 4x12, which is rated for 200cfm, will be enough for a box with a footprint of 4 sq. feet, or should I go with the 400cfm rated 6x16? Will 110 CFM adequately cool 330 watts of power compacts?

I'd go for B too, but I'm not sure if the corner PL-Ls really do that much regarding g/w. Please do a report on this, it would be perfect for me to compare and decide if i should get additional lights, at least in late flowering :) If i were you i'd use the 4 cornerlights only in later flowering too, It would be a waste of energy before that.

Nice work :)

Greetings,
Garuda.

Defiantly get the bigger filter it will be less restrictive which is important if you want to use a smaller fan plus it will last longer.

Nice job on your design.
I would go with one big flowering chamber with a separate propagation unit.

Well, this morning I had a revelation. I decided that since I'm going for complete stealth, and I want to go for the bigger carbon filter to enhance airflow vs resistance, and given the fact that I'm custom building, I decided to redesign. This is an early development shot to help get the idea, but I'm planning to heavily tweak the design. Comments/suggestions welcome.

What I've settled on is a Phresh Filter 6x16, Panasonic Whisper Ceiling 6" duct 150 CFM vent fan, 330W PL-L, and hempy coco as well as REZ's GH formula.

Here's some drawings:

The Whisper Fan vents to a compartment that goes straight out the back without contacting any other surfaces in the box to prevent electronics from becoming humidified.
There are PC fans to help generate airflow over the components that will sit on the shelves below the TV, such as the Blu-Ray Player, and the Digital Cable Box.

Both sections will have cabinet doors with glass panes, the shelves to the right will contain Blu-Ray movies.

What do you guys think about this design?

I like it. Its well hidden in plain site with in a Ikea showroom.
And the two computer fans will give you an excuse for the fan noise.

Here's a couple drawings that should help show you what I had in mind with the airflow.

If you build cabs anything like you use sketch up then don't worry about it.

So far all of your designs have been great. Visually and functionally.

Any of them would work great.

The tv stand idea is great. Hidden in plain site, like someone before me said. It's perfect.

Thanks for the kind words everyone :)

I seem to have my hands full with the logistics of getting this box built. It's by far the most complicated design I've ever came up with and tried to build. I'm going to use 2'x4' plywood panels for the cabinetry pieces sawed off to 40" height for simplicity. For the floor, I'll use one 2'x2' piece and a 2'x4' piece to make a 2'x6' area.

To connect all the pieces together I'll be using a Kreg R3 Jr. Pocket Hole Jig System in places where unsightly screw holes shouldn't appear.

I wish I still had access to a proper wood shop, but at least I have a contractor's table saw.

I would tend to favor cabinet A, but I also tend to favor stretchy sativas over shrubby indicas.

Whichever you choose, I have to congratulate you on some great designs. Wish you the best of luck with your new project.

Well, I've finally found the time to finish the design.

I've decided to start by building cabinet boxes and cut them to fit together as a group that sits on a platform which is then framed.

I have been able to include several features that I was hoping to be able to add including a small propagation chamber.

I will be able to provide a cutlist that offers exact measurements to reproduce my box if there seems to be any interest in that.

Added a ventilation chamber that will allow me to change the fan without having to build a new box.

This shows how each of the chambers are cabinets that fit together.
