Once again this fast finishing strain is doing exactly that, finishing quickly. I'll do one more res change today and give them 1 1/2 weeks before the chop.

53 CLONES STILL ALIVE IN STRAIGHT SPHAGNUM MOSS 7 DAYS AFTER CUT

With this FIM style of grow the individual colas do not appear as dense as those grown in true SOG, single cola style at 4 per sq/ft. They have stretched a little too much for my liking with the 7 days of veg time. I'll let them go for 7 weeks instead of the usual 6 weeks before the chop.

The clones in the sphagnum moss seem to be OK so it appears this cloning medium works. I moved these clones to a different area where temps are more stable. If I can get most of these clones to root it's back to true SOG, single cola style, 36 clones in a 3x3 table under 1000W straight on to 12/12.

Thank you good sir. I would like to know if you are going to wait till they go amber. If you wait till they are 50% amber then I'm sure you will be very surprised as to the outcome. With a 2 week cure I'm afraid you will be in a coma Makes it extremely potent.

G'day Killer, I could chop these this weekend at 6 weeks into 12/12 but I'm going to give them another week to see any difference in the narcotic effect. Hope you have a bountiful harvest.

Checked the clones today and 3 had keeled over, mushy stems. Probably due to the incredible water holding capability of sphagnum moss. The rest seem quite firm, the dome is off and I gave them a foliar spray of Seasol seaweed extract. I only want 36 for the next run so hopefully I will get those numbers. I've never used sphagnum moss for cloning so this is just a bit of an experiment. Hope all goes well, will have a better idea in 7 days.

The res has been changed in the SOG, EC is 1.9. About 10 days to go. Can't wait to do another true SOG, single cola style at 4 per sq/ft under 1000W.

i was linked to an interesting thread recently where they used an icepole tray full of vermiculite sitting in a tray of water so they vermiculite was always moist. looked like it worked well. lol so many methods i'm wanting to give a whirl.

Yeh I've seen the Walmart ice cube cloner thread. You could just about clone in cement but I wouldn't recommend it.

The main grow will finish in about 10 days, the clones hopefully get going in 7 days. This is a very small time frame to get the next true SOG going immediately. Next time take clones off the mums 3 weeks before finish. I could do it earlier but I don't want clones getting big.

It's a fine line between pleasure and pain.

Thanks rushchaser, it's just a little grow, no big deal. I rinse the hydrotin out after every second grow by taking the whole tray outside and hosing it down. This also removes any nutrient salt build up. I have noticed there is very little build up of the cloning material in the hydroton. Most of it comes out in the root mass when I pull the plant out. The next grow will be more efficient with 36 clones in the 3x3 table grown single cola style.
