nice grow box, is it a 250 hps? nice that you went with a cool tube, maybe add a reflector as well over the area where the bulb is, it will focus the light more on your plants.

Yes. It is a 250 hps. Didn't notice the question earlier.... sorry.

congratz on the first indoor run

Thx man, but it's not my first indoor run. I grew two plants under fluoros a couple of years ago and got about 30 grams. I also grew in this tent once before, but had to move so I had to take the tent down and throw the plants in the garbage after 4 weeks. I was so so pissed about that......

This is my first HPS run though. Very exciting.

i think the reflector is cool, even if not fixed, it should help focus the light down to the plants. at least if it's not fixed, you can take it off easily if you ever want to try vertical instead of horizontal lighting. wish i'd thought of a cool tube for my 250 mh for veg, with temps in the 30° my veg box is getting to 34° some times lol.

Yeah the reflector seems to be working fine. Temps reach 35 celcius on sunny days in there, so without a cooltube it would have been a no go. I want to try vert growing, but I think my tent is to small(Homebox xs).

I went to SPOT 2. today. I haven't been there in atleast six weeks, so I was very excited.

Things were looking pretty messed up sort of. All the plants had bended alot towards the light. They were still pretty healthy looking though. I had suspected this bending, so I brought some rope to tie them against the wall. Didnt't bring enough though, so they are tied really close to the wall. Hope they will adapt to their new conditions.

I found one Male(Royal Dane) and one Hermie. Threw the Male, but decided to let the Hermie live. It was the same strain as the other Hermie(Royal Dane x White Russian), and it looked like it was female on top, but had a few balls some nodes down.
The Male royal Dane had been releasing Pollen for a while it seemed. I don't know if it has pollinated the females. My intentions at this spot was to not make seeds. We will see what happens.

There were some people pretty close by, so I was pretty stressed when I was there. The spot is pretty far from my home, so I had to get work done though. It went fine, but my heart was beating like crazy....

One Pehkuruder had plenty of trichs and some brown pistils. Because of the stress I forgot to see if there were seeds in there.

One Lalandia Erdpurt Udemix and Early Misty plants had not shown sex yet. The rest were female I think:jump:

Here are some pics from before the tying.

The Pehkuruder. I wonder when i should harvest this......

I top dressed with this much chicken pellets, and put ferramol there too. Didn't look like slugs were a problem though.

just amazing, looks like they are on a pond or some thing? i bet you never have to water them eh? they have grown a whole bunch, crazy how much they crept along the ground towards the sun. i supposed you tied them to the wall to make it harder to see from the top? when i see you with all your spots i have to laugh about you saying i did a lot. but even for my few plants it has been quite some sweaty hours spent here and there so i can only imagine how much you did, just to get soil to all your spots. :tiphat:

Expect harvest on the pehkuruder some time around 15th august approx would be my guesstimate.

edit: If the pehkuruders has caught pollen and is pregnant, it should take approx 4-5 weeks for the seeds to ripen i think. If they are not preggy, they should normally finish outdoors in say 7-10 weeks from the time they started forming buds, depending on weather. I cant remember when your pehkuruders started budding, but if they did some time between june 15 and july 1st, estimated harvest time would be some time from 15th of august --> september 1st. The pehkuruders has a tendency to sprout a fair bit of growth quite late in flowering, my indoor pehkuruders were still putting on weight until week 7. If they are pregnant however, they should behave somewhat differently, the plant will put energy into finishing the seeds. Trichomes on a seeded plant should be ripe at approximately the same time as the seeds, about 4 weeks from the time of pollination. Early pollination will cause some strains to finish faster then normal so it can be smart some times to pollinate plants early that arent expected to fully ripen otherwise.

Thanks for the update mate,

Hey Haxi, Rocket, Arctic, and gaiusmarius.

Hope you all are having a great summer.:)

It just feels like you are doing your work now, and that I did my work this winter and spring gaius. I'm glad I spaced the work over such a long timeperiod. Learned that lesson last season.......

I tied the plants up because they were just growing into eachother hence getting nothing but tops to produce buds on. I left a few like they were though.

Hope I made the right decision.

I went to some spots with some ferramol last night.

SPOT 5.

Looking kind of messed up here too with stems bending. I don't understand why it happened here though, cause this place receives a good amount of light, and it's also pretty flat. I don't wanna tie theese plants up though, cause the spot is kind of public. I'll just leave them like this I think, although I'm considering topping a few of them.

Slugs are definatly around. They have been feasting on this stem. This one was chewing on leaf.

Bomsebilete022-6.jpg

Bomsebilete025-3.jpg

If they had grown straight up, some of them would have been about 170 cm tall. Most are confirmed female here.

SPOT 6.

Have some males here along with a female Royal Dane x Thyphoon. The female won't produce much though cause it's beeing "swallowed "by the males.

Bomsebilete027-6.jpg

Bomsebilete029-5.jpg

SPOT 8.

The Ovala Ratsjastaja plant that survived the deer attack is actually starting to look real bushy and nice. I think it's a female, but not positive yet.

Bomsebilete030-4.jpg

And this was the joy of the evening.:D I got really God damn motherfokkin superexcited:yay: when I saw this Pehkuruder and Diesel Ryder. Pehkuruder definatly had the biggest buds and most trichs, but the Diesel looked mighty fine too. Think I will try to pollinate some lower branches on theese with Blue Ryder and/or Diesel Ryder pollen. Hope it's not too late. Will try to get it done as soon as possible although I'm kinda busy with work theese days.

Hey again all and everyone out there in the big wide world!

I went to some spots to check on things and to do some pollination yesterday.

Spot 9.

The four Finx plants really are different phenos it seems like. One hasn't started flowering, but is growing pretty well. One seems really yellow and weak. One is tiny but has been flowering for a while, and one has just started flowering.

Bomsebilete002-19.jpg

Bomsebilete004-15.jpg

Spot 10.

Looking ok. Three confirmed females and one Oldfarmer Nepal that hasn't showed sex yet

The group:
Bomsebilete026-5.jpg

One by one:

Pehkuruder of Finx. But by the look of it I'm almost positive that it is a Finx.

Bomsebilete027-7.jpg

Oldfarmer Nepal

Bomsebilete028-5.jpg

Lowryder x Stuporsonic

Bomsebilete029-6.jpg

Pehkuruder of Finx. But by the look of it I'm almost positive that it is a Finx. Pollinated this branch with Diesel Ryder pollen.

Bomsebilete033-4.jpg

I pollinated one branch on the other Finx plant at the spot and one branch of the Lowryder X Stuporsonic with Bluer Ryder Pollen.

I have Never made seeds before so it will be interesting to see if this method works.

Here is the Blue Ryder male that was chosen as father(the biggest and most vigorous one.)

Bomsebilete024-6.jpg

Shook some pollen and put two branches in a plastic bag. then put it on top of lower branches on diff. plants as shown in pictures.

Bomsebilete031-7.jpg

The tree:

65 litre bucket with seeds sown directly in soil:

One plant has been relocated and I have pulled 8 males. There are now 11 Female Finx and Pehkuruder plants left.

Bomsebilete008-11.jpg

Bomsebilete010-13.jpg

Bomsebilete023-4.jpg

50 litre(I think) Bucket with 2 female Short Stuff plants and
1 relocated Finx or Pehkuruder in the middle. Theese two plants are looking real good with plenty of trichs and they have been budding for a while now. Smell is also good.

Bomsebilete011-11.jpg

35 Litre bucket with 3 Danish Pot x Blue Ryder plants. One was a hermie and one was a male. They have been thrown. Almost positive that the one that is left is a female. Doesn't really look like it's thriving though. Probably because of underwatering.

Bomsebilete017-11.jpg

90 litre bucket with two female Blue Ryders. I think they look good and they have been budding for a while.

Bomsebilete015-11.jpg

Bomsebilete021-4.jpg

The tent:

The PPP is growing well, and the Alaskan Ice plant is a female. Getting real tight in there. They have been flowering for about 3 weeks now. I pollinated 2 branches on the PPP and two branches on the Alaskan Ice plant with Blue Ryder pollen from the male shown above.

I'm very happy, cause it looks like I'm going to be able to smoke my own grown weed in not so long. I hate purchasing that stuff so there are goooooooooooood times ahead.

Just to be clear. I only grow for personal use. Will also give away some to friends for free ofcourse.

and plenty of beans for next year ... waiting for the chop down now ;)

Hey Paulo!

Hey Lalandia!

I have two Lalandia Erdpurt Udemix plants going, and they are among the few left that haven't showed sex yet. I hope they will soon cause after mid september not much grows here.

Hey Rocket! Yeah really hoping that bean making method works. Will probably chop down some Autos in a week or so. he he. Can't wait.

Took a run and checked on two spots today. Didn't bring a cam though.

Spot 4.

I planted out two Leb plants there the 24th of May, so I haven't checked on the plants there in almost two months. One Male had survived countless slug attacks. There were holes in its stem! It still looked healthy on top though. The other one was dead.

Spot 3.

Removed the plant(White Russian x Royal Dane) that I thought was a hermaphrodite, cause now it was just looking like a male. Didn't look like it had open pollen sacks though, so hopefully no pollination has occured.

I gotta bring a cam next time, cause I don't remember the names of the strains that are left there, but 4 females are left.

I fertilized with 50 litres of soil mixed with about 50 litres of cowshit. Think someone saw me there. An electric car came by, and they make no sound.... Gotta be more careful. Those public spots sure are sketchy. Only night or super early morning visits on certain spots from now on.

Later all.

wow lovely update, every time i see your pics i have to tip my hat to all the work you did getting all those spots set up. it's also great to see how healthy your plants are all looking, seems you chose real good places to put them and the right strains for the environment.

that pollination technique works, but it might very well pollinate mre then just the branch you covered. a safer way is to collect the pollen in a bag and then use a new paint brush to pollinate the branches buds you want to, even then if you don't chose the lowest branches the pollen will end up hitting any lower buds too.

X'ing fingers for u bro...I think u'll see flowering very soon now.

Thx for the kind words man,:tiphat: but all I do to keep insects and slugs away is using ferramol and lugging away weeds. I think we have far less harmful insects and slugs this far north than further south though.

Ah. Good to hear. It doesn't matter if more if more gets pollinated, but accuracy is always good so I'll probably use a brush next time. thx for the tip.

Thx Lalandia. Slowest of the Danish strains are Oldfarmer Nepal, Leb 27 and Lalandia Erdpurt Udemix. The UK 08-09 which I think is from you also were surprisingly fast, but it was a male........ They all grow big though, so maybe the slow showing of sex is a good thing.:bump:

We will see in a couple of months.

Later.

Hey all. I need some help here....

I went by spot 8 this morning and found my precius Diesel Ryder and Pehkuruder plant. They had mildew or mold or budrot or something in them. Not much, but still.... Decided to harvest them. I hung them upside down, cause I have to do other work and don't have time to tend to them until later today.

I have no experience with this kind of stuff. My plan is to just cut away all the mildew and then hang the rest to dry as normal.

Is this the way to go?

Hey Rocket!

Yeah. I'll just treat them like normal food I guess. Cut away the mold and eat the rest.....

They are hanging in their drying place now, and I won't be able to cut away the mold until tomorrow... Hope it will go well.

It wasn't too bad I think. The Pehkuruder had most, and the Diesel Ryder only a little bit on the lower brances.

They were fine last time I checked, but We've been hit with some heavy showers theese last couple of days. Also they are in a place with not so much wind and no morning sun.

I'm still superstoked though. Theese two plants are a little over three months old. On the Diesel Ryder label Mdanzig says: "9 weeks from seed to harvest". So maybe they just started to rot because they were too old. I don't know. Going to smoke selfgrown outdoorweed once they dry anyhow. Wooooo hoooooo.

Here is a pic showing how they will hang until tomorrow. I'll bet I'm gonna have nightmares about the how much the mold is going to spread.....

Pehkuruder to the left, Diesel to the right.
