125watt CFL Guitar Cab Grow!

Crossed fingerz worked a charm, they are starting to get on with it again. Maybe a week or so to fully recover. I could do with some root stimulator that might help alot. Ive always grown with rhizotonic and have had lovely bountiful white roots. I ve noticed on this grow the roots have never looked anywhere near as healthy as when I used rhizo. I may be able to get some one to give me a drop.

I'll take some photos in a couple of days

Till then, take it easy

Okay here's what everbody has been waiting for fresh pics.

They have started to take of again, am gutted i've had about 2 weeks of extremely stunted gowth.

Anyway

They are all at different stages of growth, The one that showed sex at day 16 is the most advanced. You can tell by the pics anyway.

Fast

Medium

Slow

And the 4 speedy gonzales which were also in the too hot soil as seedlings so theese are not advanced either.

That's all for now

Thanks cheese buds, but I would expect there to be a little bit more growth I think going into week 6. Never mind. It will come ;)

haha thanks fuzz and Happyguy, the problem is Happy that this is not my first grow. I've done about 6-7 over the last 7 years and not messed up with soil before. Guess I wasn't thinking properly. 50 posts here we come I'll be having to spam all your threads now ;)

Not yet BC I still can't quite afford it, grrr. But I will have it for the next run i'm sure. Have just started giving them some seaweed extract, as I can't afford the rhizotonic :(

Speed & Safety for them.....:clover:

Dead impressed with the stealth set up.

You have to be UK based...I'd give my eye teeth to get my hands on some good old John Innes compost over here.

Have a great weekend...:joint:

Hey Mossy, Thanks for looking in, big time!!!

I found the John Innes Seedling soil to be very heavy/dense. Not sure If it's a little heavy for the roots to be mooching about.

Yep I'm in the UK, and can't believe the good weather for our summer foray. I'll go take a quick snap of the outdoor Jem, it's slow growing but I'm sure it will be nice!!

Thanks

Hey just a quick photo update really, Some super sexy trich shots, and few others.

Also all the speedy gonzales have now begun flowering.

One thing to note is there is not a drop of purple in sight yet??

Oh and another thing, one has no smell to speak of, one has a kind of generic marijuana smell (this could be interpreted many different ways), and the other smells of erm....... sausages, I kid you not. And the outdoor one I have still yet to stick my nose in and sniff.

Hey nice grow!

I'm wondering what made you choose the mossys gems/purple gems?

I'd agree that John Innes compost is heavy and sandy, holds too mutch water and gets kinda compacted. Not at all what i would wish to grow in ... i like my roots to breath, which is funny cause' often you see bags of compost with 'Added John Innes' ... as if thats a good thing!

Hey i also have a mini greenhouse like yours ... they do lack ventilation (the door being the only ventilation) and have no great way of tying them to something to stop them blowing over in wind (i weighed mine down with rocks on the bottom shelf) ... but mine only cost £10 so i cant complain ... excellent value! But listen ... i saw a similar thing in a pound shop (poundstretcher) which was about three times the size and reduced from £16 to £12.50!

Thanks liquid light. I wanted to grow some type of atuomatic, The Jems just seemed to tick the boxes, smell was the biggest factor and I read on the seedbanks page that they were low odour (it's true), also never had anything purple, just dosen't exist in my street market. So low odour and the colour was what sold it to me!!

I like the greenhouse I have at the moment, but I do worry about ventilation so Now I leave one side unzipped all the time for air movement. Certainly don't want to increase mold conditions.

Yeah i'd zip up my mini greenhouse at night and i'd have to make sure i'd unzip it early next day before the sun gets up in the sky. Sometimes i was late though and there was quite some heat and humidity in there ... but they didn't seem to mind, i think a vegging plant will grow fast under such greenhouse conditions. On dull days i'd just leave them in there with the door shut ... perfect conditions for rooting clones and plants grew quickly.

I would but I have two purple jems in there flowering at the moment so would risk those moulding up.

Here is a cab shot of the speedy gonzales which have been flowering for around 6 days.

The purples are at the back of the cab.

Enjoy
