i'm looking for a super crazy sativa high as a special request to a patient of mine. he's an old timer and always talking about how cheap it was to smoke superb columbian, thai, and mexican back in the 70s.

which new school variety is going to take him back in time? he's looking for the best, most pure potent shit out there like a original haze but i told him i don't want to flower anything longer than 14 weeks and a touch of indica does a sativa good.

can anything top these two in the 10-14 week range? mr. nice mango haze or ssh perhaps? i am really leaning towards the SSSDH and Casey. who's tried them both? how do they compare?

Ive grown both. I personally like smoking the sssdh, the casey is good, real racy and thought provoking but not as complete as the sssdh. Grow um both and throw um in a grinder, thats what I'd do.

I dont think there is anything old skool about Super Silver Sour Diesel Haze, that sounds pretty new skool to me. Casey isnt available in seed form, unless you have access to the cuts.

I'd look at strains from Mr Nice, like SSH or Nevilles Skunk, MNS is working with classic genetics from the 80s.

Or check out Ace seeds, Panama, Double Thai or any of the other old skool sativa's.

I would like some more info on the CJ...I have a cut outside but not sure if I'm going to give her a hole or not.

You may find a useful specimen in a few areas, with the flower time being a limiting factor for you I would suggest one of the following crosses from wallyduck. Assuming they are still available, which they are: c99xhaze or c99xpanama

If you were not limited to flowering time haze or panama would be great suggestions, but since you are the c99 will be a great pairing. Obviously sorting specimens within the varieties will be needed, as the traits are sure to be distributed with different mixes. There should be a specimen within each variety to suit your needs. Ideally the specimen is your choice, however if it were up to me I would look for candidates that maintain all or majority of the effects from the haze or panama and also benefit from the c99 reduced flowering time. Sure to be some in between that spectrum, depending on what you prefer you can sort. I wish you great success in your search, big ups for helping a friend! :)

Yep both seem to be still available from Seed Boutique and I must say that's a pretty cool recommendation! I remember reading some experiences about the C99 x Panama Red here on ICMag and it sounded a lot like what the OP is looking for.

Other recommendations have been good too though. If you need more choices for potent sativas I'd say Destroyer from Cannabiogen and Kali Mist from Serious Seeds might be something worth trying. Unfortunately I have no personal experience with either but both are very high on my "want to grow" list.

try kiwi seeds Mexican Haze or Congo Haze and or Mr Nice SSH, Mango or Nevilles Hazex Mango cant go wrong with those strains.

I have cuts of both SSSDH & Casey Jones, and neither of them have the spaced out high you're looking for.

Casey Jones especially is more of a hybrid buzz.

SSSDH is more sativa leaning, but the high is just not the "rocket to the moon" high you want.

I like Iron_Lion's recommendations.

I'd personally find a good Neville's Haze line and run that.

both sssdh and casey jones are great, i guess sssdh has more body to it... i have to grow it yet, hope next season i will get my hands on ojd´s cut....

but your description sounds like you need ace panama...
Just finishing a panama indoor test from seed, seed stock coming from our best 3 reddish panama mothers.

They had a short veg time, only 3-4 weeks from seed and then flowered under 600 HPS lamps, organic growing. Flowering time is between 60-85 days, usually 70-77 days is enough.

She's 100 % sativa but produces incredible resinous and dense flowers. Panama red pistil is not so evident when flowering her indoors.

Here's a very fast flowering panama, finishing after only 60 days of 12/12. 3 weeks of veg time from seed, very columnar growing. Medium flower/leaf ratio. Not very resinous in the big leaf but very high ovary resin production.
Earthy sweet resinous aromas.

i guess i should of said i really want some diesel in the strain for my own tastes but sativa enough to please his.

which one has better flavor of the 2? landraces sativas sound like a gamble and none of them have won any cups lately so i'll stick with the more worked, cutting edge indica-sativa hybrids available today.

Like others have mentioned, you'll without a doubt be able to make a more sativa learning selection out of the SSSDH beans. Casey is a very evenly mixed smoke...

I might be alone here, but I say you should try and track down a good cut of strawberry cough. It's lineage is old school haze x strawberry fields. It's totally done in 9 weeks, is a very hazy smoke with fruity undertones (atleast the kksc cut is...) and it yields very good. I've given it to a few old timers and a couple said the same thing: it reminds them of old school herb. Very up high (although maybe not as much as a real 14-16 wk haze, obviously). We get a whole lot of "piff" around here, and the high is very comparable to that. The only downside to the stuff imo is the way it grows: very viney and bushy. It can be hard to mix and match kksc with others under the same light...

heh ACE´s gear is not gamble... hehe...well cannabis cups say nothing about genetics, very often winner is pheno which you cant even find in one pack...but its your choice of course...

i cant agree more with opinion that casey is not sativa enough...looka at this tall lanky plant which has high that takes you to the sky!

yuo must just find that thaiwreck pheno which leans to thai side, not impossible task... i would bet that joeshmoe´s cut has that stellar high tooo...so if you say: "Casey is a very evenly mixed smoke..." then i say you have limited experience with casey....

Well, to be honest, I am running the "joeshmoe cut" of casey, and have been for the last year and 1/2. It's pretty mixed in the high department... It does lean to the sat side of things, but no more than the rest of the diesels out there... Smoke a fatty of it and you aren't going out to buy the groceries...

One thing it does do is yield like a mofo...

FIREofKALI

ok Lloyd bro, no ofense... i didnt grow that joeshmoe´s cut...but plant in my previous post is just that sativa enough and im growing hazes which are more sativa than SSSDH for sure...

well thx to response..stay safe bro!
