hi everybody! 
been around icmag for a few years now, on and off. currently I'm back on. 
well, without beating around the bush, i'll be running two 600 watt hps lights: the grow area is a converted closet -- 2 ft deep, 8 ft tall, 8 ft wide. inside is lined with mylar, and i have a small computer fan mounted in the ceiling pulling air in through 4 inch duct into the closet:
filtering through a can filter mounted in the corner of the ceiling
i've been keeping mamas in a little veg holding chamber on the right side of the closet.
clockwise, starting from top left: Skunk Haze, Cherry Haze, Bubba Kush x Deep Chunk, and Viper x Trainwreck
that photo was after taking a healthy harvest of clones. around 30 total. i'll be weeding some out (no pun intended ha) as they grow, but the number will be about the same. it's going to be fun to see what sort of yield i get off the haze mamas, after another 4 weeks vegging under 1200 watts of hps.
atop the little veg chamber:
the ballasts, and a wall-mounted oscilating fan, and a co2 boost bucket with vinyl tubing around the lower perimeter of the closet:
the exhaust fan hangs outside the closet, pulls the filtered air to a safe place of exit.
for medium, i've been using a soil/coco mix about 60/40. i may do that again, or i may skip the coco. not sure yet, but it will be about that.
for veg i will be running an initial dose of earthworm castings, and starting Bushmaster around week 2. that's it. i'll top or LST if needed, but with the number of plants per square foot i don't think i'll need to mess with them much for a nice canopy. after a good 3-4 weeks of veg (hehe), i'll be flipping to 12/12 and going to high phosphorous bat guano.
Additives will be Snowstorm Ultra starting at flip, and Gravity for the last two weeks before chop. and of course, blackstrapp molasses throughout.
and water
-- just tap water through a brita filter, then into the tote. have a h-shaped airstone, and a submersable heater like for a 10 gal fish tank or smaller. works like a charm.
also used it for cloning:
pretty fool-proof. just mount a small florescent on the lid and leave it cracked open to avoid excessive condensation and wetting of the light. good method to try out if you ever had troubles with cloning.
ok that's about it for set-up! right now i'm finishing a partial run of the same genes. looking forward to a full room grow.
let me post this first one and i'll get some shots of the current grow up too. just at week 8, so i just fed them the last dose of nutes. now its just gravity and molasses all the way out. hoping for close to a pound, but will be mighty happy with half that. need to stock up lol

this batch was pretty good, but this round i'm about to take down had another week and a half. yikes she is dank. (see below lol)
