many, many methods ways to make trees. chow mix, 100% perlyte, c0c0/perlyte 50/50, even bark mulch & lava rox... most important factors, maybe: a) cultivar, b) pre-veg/veg.

kr&sty detailed method. no-&ne, did simple tech. from there, can & did have many variations. too many tree groers from then to list, but many did slight variation/mod.... but, the clown made concept doable-reachable.

then...acry&hellp made simple 6o/4o c0c0/clay trees, to show that bell+whistle of dwc, etc not needed for trees. there was a single 4#er by acry4, somewhere in the old thredz, w/ simple drain-to-waste in 40l tote...

if pre-veg, then veg until 3x3-4x4+, w/ tested cut, should get nice big pine tree

yes, lurk og & cw, before the fall...

there were gardener making trees, before bucket system/method, using pro-mix, or even sunshine 4, or other methods...the clown show how to do consistent -w/ modifyable techs...

this 1 of 1st threads that give tree gardeners configs, etc - using 'bucket' method/style, later made come to 'kbs/kfb' ...

fwiw, kr&sty was the 1st to actualy post drawings of the tech & method:

same initial tech has been modified by nearly every gardener that tried it - but the clown was 1st to give designs - & give trolls & those that didnt read posts ... to k the klown...

Well I fucked up lol. I trusted my electrician and hes not perfect . I can only handle 15K in My Flower Room. So layout will be changed. We will be running:

I'll probably plop around 15-20 extra plants on the outside on an ebb N flow system .. on 5 gallon buckets for added height. For this grow since i allready have 4 rows ill probably be stuck with the extra space i created but i guess ill just have to be creative. Peace!

I have been looking at doubled's MPB bucket setups as my future system. I want to do a setup using 8 400w CMH bulbs laid out like where the X are plants and the 0 are pairs of stacked bulbs.

Will def be watching yours to help plan mine.

That's 17 plants off of 14 lights. Then you could dedicate a whole light to some E&F on the side.

Well like anything in this game there is debate over them but what sold me was the spectrum picture on the first page of the CMH sticky. Of course most of the debate I have seen is about the spectrum picture but the results don't lie.

cages are the life force of this system, without them the plants stem will start to lean and rip roots, the whole time the plant looks like it standing up straight

I discoverd this from not zip tieing my cage to the lids of the buckets, the plant was so heavy it was tipping over the cage

I think you could buy the big one and cut it in half, I use the 4x8 6in square concrete reinforcers, and I cut a foot off the length and the width so then they are 3x6ft, then I roll then and overlap once set of 6in squares and zip tie them holding the cage in a nice circle

I have been training all my branches to grow out and its really opens up the plant and bumps the bud sites
