Question about getting compost ready

Trying to have a good day

The place I just moved in has a compost pile that is probably a couple years old.I think it is mostly leaves with some other organic matter added.

Well I just went out and broke the pile open.It is broken down and has growth on the inside of it in the broke down compost. It has alot of bugs living in it.

My question is.........how do I get the bugs out of it so I can use it indoors?

Any help anybody can give would be greatly appreciated...Thank You

Pasteurize the compost by keeping it at 140F for a few hours. Don't exceed that temp else the good microbes will die.
