4,000 watts of light. 10" fan - 790 cfm (230 watts). 8" ducting. DWC grow. There will also be an A/C and a Carbon Filter in this place but I have not included it in the drawing.

Is this circular design really bad?

is there a reason for pulling a carbon filter through the hoods? it's only going to cause major drag and inject carbon dust into your hoods. I think a carbon should be stand alone with its own fan. is there a crawl space or attic above?

well i really don't want 3 fans. i could have 2 and use the circular design for 1 fan and the carbon filter by itself....

All I am going to say is.... the more corners you have and the more dramatic the bend, the less effective the air flow becomes. I don't know about "gradual corners/bends" but I am assuming any bend would slow down air flow..

have both intakes for the hoods coming from the door then connect both rows of hoods to your 10" fan using a Y connector exhausting out one window. use the other window for your fan/filter exhaust.

Listen to Mikecar312. Also put your fan by the door and push air through the hoods. This way there is a positive pressure inside hoods, and they don't incidently pull smelly air out through any small cracks.

The way you have it drawn, on you second drawing, you will be exhausting your a/c cooled air, which is not efficient at all.

Though, I do agree 3 fans would be better. A 10" inline should move a lot of air, and will prolly work in the config, mikecar312 laid out.

your grow room would get no fresh air unless you have co2 along with the ac. you can use a smaller fan for your grow room if you want, and that is where you can attach your carbon filter. most of the heat will be gone since your lights will be cooled on their on system.
