amino acids anyone?

So I have noticed that all of the "best" fert lines and the best bloom boosters contain a good amount of L-amino acids. As an organics lover I need to know what is the best source for amino acids when it comes to our favorite plant? Should it come from organic soy protein? Or wheat protiens maybe? Are there synthetic forms of L-aminos? All of theese questions are driving up the wall day and night so any knowledge on amino acids and horticulture would be great!

Better questions to ask would be the following:
1. What purpose do aminos serve in nutes?
2. Can roots absorb them?
3. Will regular use produce any discernible improvements?

Metalhead419 thanks for the link but I noticed that tryptophan is not listed:( and it is one of the ones that I am interested in having in the mix. Also why do think that they are not all that important?

I had a big long post typed out, but i thought about it some more. Hydrolyzed fish, which is a way that some companies make fish emulsion contains plenty of amino acids for plants. People, me included have apparently been using amino acids maybe without even knowing it, for a while. A friend of mine owned a hydro store that had a house brand of products made by that earthcrew company. They make the hydrolyzed fish emulsion, and we have been using it for a long time, but its just called wai kula super fish emulsion, so i had no idea. Check out this website, and there tech info. It goes in depth explaining how amino acids work, and what they do, just keep in mind they are trying to sell a product containing amino's while reading.

Yes I have come to find that all living things have amino present. Plants, people, fish, it is just that I assumed there would be a "purest" form or most available form that is concentrated for horticulture use. I know that egg whites conatian all essential aminos. And soy contains alot of aminos but in stores it always contains sodium:( so for now until i have more knowledge a bought a so called snake oil from grotek called MM2000 it is supposed to contain alot of aminos and is made with essential oils and plant extracts. But really it smells just like some kinda of lemon scented solvent it is yellow and that bottle says mix it 1:5 with water then use for foilar application up to three times or add to res at 2-2.5mL per gallon.
