that's what I thought, THANKS!!! and I do have the space for em' just gotta do some final measurements tomm. as far as what the diameter on those 5 gal buckets are....Yeah, I would just have them on a tray with a heat mat underneath and keep cubes moist not wet....also have to consider what size pumps i want to get for the air stones...something over 20L a min. more air=more bubbles=more oxygen=more /bigger roots=big azz plants!...right??
Yea man that sounds like a dead on plan!!!:good: I want to do the oxypots but it involves alot of space! If you can fit it in your area that is the route i would go.
On the rockwool cubes would you just have them on a tray and water them frequently? The only downfall would be res. changes 20 diff. ones would suck! ha but WELL worth it my friend! if you have any more questions i would love to brainstorm with ya :canabis::smoke out:

Right man, I have a 60gph pump on a 3 1/2 gallon res.lol
My roots touch the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket when changing res.
I hpe mine are ok in the DWC they were droopy today so i made a quick res. change.

I didnt think bout the short life span of these plants so i am hoping that the HBD in the DWC will not be stunted and not produse as well as it would have with no stress through its life. But the small plant in the DWC isnt drooping so I don't know what the prob is hopefully its better by tomorrow...

Well, Its not better its actually looking worse. Guys my little HBD that is about 21" tall is fine and perky, Nut the HBD that is 38" and has about 6 main branches is droopy and rubbery.
Do you think if I put plain Phed water in the res. for 2-4 days then change it again and start off with 1/4 strength nutes which would be 1/2 tsp Tiger bloom and 1/4 tbls big bloom that this may bring the plant back to full health? I would hate to not try anything to help this monster plant, But this is my first attempt at hydroponics and I only started 2 seeds in a six site res. for a reason.lol
I didn't think that I would get through my first hydro-grow without a hitch but it would've been nice.

easy fella welcome to water world

my advice to you and to anybody else who wishes to embark in the deep end is to understand the importance of a ph meter and an ec meter, learn how to read your plants by using your ec meter, never try and dictate to the plants what feed they should be on as this will result in over feed and eventually end of the grow.

also when growing in hydro its important to get your res temps right to high will result in problems as will being to low you need it to be between 68 - 72 degrees.

it sounds like a lot of work maintaining a hydro system but its not, once you have got your setup sorted you will never look back ;)

on a side note i think growing multple plants in a system that feeds off 1 res is not ideal for seeds because all plants will require different feeds at different stages of their growth and may carry different phenos, its more suited to growing clones or more advanced growers where finding the correct balance for both plants is needed,

single pots like oxypots which is my weapon of choice are awesome but not if space is an issue i have 2 blue cheese plants 12/12 from seed and they have nearly filled my 120x80x180m tent and are now both on different feeding ec even though they are both from the same mother.

also in answer to your problem the 2 things i would look at 1stly is my res temp because you might have root rot and also the amount of oxygen in the water as lack of oxygen will cause suffocation of the plant.

ive not seen pics of your plants so cant diagnose properly

hope this helps

Well this is pretty confusing to me...
I had to cut the big HBD because it was dead(but surprisingly good smoke) but the little HBD in hydro is doing great. I can't figure out why one plant died and one is prospering!?!
Anyhow, The Big Devil auto are so dense and have such a sweet diesel/fuel odour. The HBD in soil is 39" tall, I am in love with this strain!
My outdoor crop is going off good, D.P Haze #1 is 8' tall & the Pure Afghani is 6 3/4' tall. My seeded HBD that is impregnated by a bushy pheno RRf is 30-35 days away from producing my first auto hybrid beans...
Well enough rambling, Here are some pics...

How is Red Dwarf, Has anyone any experiance with this strain?
It lookes so good I just had to order 2x Red Dwarf Feminized, Just these two to pollinate one with RRf or HBD maybe even Mi5 or Onyx...lol
My RRf that just started had to be sat on a bucket cause it was stratching badly.
Well anyhow, The HBD are doing good & the one in hydro is doing great also...

What up SUMP'N! To your question it is hard!

Now the only thing i know of that monitors and adjusts your temps is the hygro water thermometer/heating pad monitor! and thats what i have in my tub! the ideal temp. for max. oxygenation is 60F to 70F now the problem with mine is it reads the temp. and has a heater on it for when it gets to cold! (Winter nights when the lights are off!) so if it hits 67F or below it will heat it back up to 68F, but it dosent do anything for when it gets too hot! And the biggest problem would be how much they cost! :jawdrop: I would hate to have to buy one for every single oxypot! If i was you i wouldnt have it as that much of a concern! as long as you have good ventilation than your water is gonna be OK! IMO and i didnt even monitor my res. temp. when i took my set up to my friends in his make shift closet with the 600w HPS! If i was you man i would get a few OXY-pots going and start a few and get the feel b4 diving head first and re-designing your whole set-up! But i promise you, you will love it man! :dance013: :pimp3:

thanks fo the info on the water temps....where did you get yours?? how much are they?? right now the temp in my tent avg. around 84 day, 74 night...600hps, BUT, I will add a separate fan for the light via cool tube....that should help with the overall temps.....just dont want no high water temps...... i KNOW i WILL love IT TOO!! Especially from seeing the results from other growers.....I'm not really diving in head first with 100% no experince....< i did inroduce my self to growin via a DWC set-up 3 yrs ago, so I kinda got the basics and principals of growin via DWC......I just know this is what I need to get 2'-3' autos, with yeilds of 1oz MIN to 3-4oz MAX per plant dry!!!! iv'e seen it!!...and IMO, I think it will be less work than dealing with soil....<that shit is a bitch when transplating, watering and finally discarding.....imagine tryin to find a "good" spot to dump 13 3gal bags of used soil......effin headache, not to mention, suspicious lookin.....BTW, there is NO where on the web that sells oxy-pots that ship to USA???!!! so I may have to buy the parts and build em'.....

I finally got some good pics of my HBD and the Big Devil. I love the Big Devil, they smell so good and they have good branching with big Colas. The diesel odor is very strong with hints of fruit. I will be growing out PJ's very soon, I can't wait to add a little colour to my grow room.lol

By the way, I forgot to tell the dry weight of the Auto Blueberry.
The Auto BB weighed 29.7 grams, that's a little over an Oz and it was just a 12" tall plant! I have a 3' tall HBD and you can't see the stalk for all the bud...

Don't be sorry, I am happy to answer yours or anybody else questions.
I let it hang for 7 days before going into a Mason Jar to cure. I honestly believe that marijuana is at its best when time is taken to let the curing process preserve the tastes and the wonderful aromas.
