Yeah, bro... You did an excellent job and bring an obvious understanding of what you are doing to the job.

Driving home this evening I realized that by splitting the 1st zone into 2 zones, I can get more emitters per pot. Right now, there are 15 emitters per pot... I am thinking that 25 might be in order for real even watering.

I am going to cut some small holes in the pots so I can take mositure reading from the side... i am hoping that as I push the probe in deeper, there will be little fluctuation in the moisture showing me an even dispersion of water thru the pot.

EJ catalyst? kelp product? I'll look it up later. On the road today. I used EJ dry up/down last year. Very expensive proposition. Ended up using GH dry for cost reasons.

Any downside to having potassium silicate in every feed? or whatever is in the RJ catalyst?

TRINTY...... I really would like to help you with your system you are building this winter..... i have alot of experinece with A/c... and i would not in a millon years reccommend using a 10ton unit... i have used them in the past and its not the way to go..... if u need more than 4tons cooling the best way to go is to split it up..... for instance... i built a ware house grow that had 320 1000 watt hps..... 160 in each room... the rooms were 45x100 ft... the btus called for a 42 ton system..... we used 4 5ton units only 20tons cooling to cool 160 lights.... no air cooling or cool tubes... vertical bulbs sealed room..... theres alot more to a/c design then btu numbers... if you an give me a little more insight i could really help you plan your best steps...... and by the way with the system like this we found that all 4 units only came on all together for about 25min during the day the rest of the day the unit would cycle and not more then 2 ever be on..... this saved so much money in power and logistics in our large grow.... also i would reccommend using a very hign doller t-stat... like a climatouch 41-12v there like 300-400 but are the brain to the operertion .... they can compinstat for outdoor temps ...........

From your explanation it sounds like you placed the air handlers in various parts of the room. I was going to put a trunk and branch style duct system in with the 10 ton unit so each light was getting cool air evenly from the plenum much like how the irrigation system is done except it will be with cool air not water.. I look forward to hearing what you have to say about what I want to do after hearing the full details ...I don't want to crowd nomaads thread here but felt like I should reply to your post about using 20 tons of A/C to cool 160 K..

nomaad it looks like you could just add in more dosers and just move the monitor probes down the line...very nice set up. money well spent..Are you planning to wrap that wire in heatshrink or flexible conduit for the long term?

One more Q..did you get the info on how many dosers you can drive total and how to determine the total number of dosers possible?

Also...big shout out to Fisher... who got suckered into helping move a LOT of dirt today. Much respect to you, my friend. I owe u a big one.

It was a good time, Nomaad. The lamb was awesome, and you've got a fantastic start on your garden. Was happy to help with the soil. You can cover my next brake job and we'll call it even..lol Great seeing you, brother

I use yucca in several different forms. I am about to order dome Therm X from PVGS.

Can't remember how many dosers I can run, but I am sure the pressure on my system would accommodate more of them. I'll be doing something with the wires when I have a minute.

Fisher: glad you had fun. let's do it again soon... this time without the 1200 bags of dirt.

dont use fish emulsion unless u use an emulsifer..... you can use 100 dosers if u wanted they do not use pressure or flow.... thats why there so great.... best thing out there if u got 10psi on a gravity feed.....

i dont think you need to let the soil COOK unless you are making a mix with many elements..... if u just use bag dirt like nomaad i think you cna just plant right in.... thats what we do inside all the time.... if u are doing a tom mix u should wait for items to compost together and cook for 2-3 weeks..... i am noticeing a little burn on a few bins i only had done for 1-2 weeks when the others were 2-3weeks and no burn.... it should go away quick i assume....
