Thanks for keepin it real blaze!

Ramus, Yeah I stack 2 grow areas right on top of each other, top ones about 82 degrees with a 126W in it, bottoms like 76 degrees with 252w in it. right now I only got 1 4" inline fan and 2 other 4" fans to move the air from one area to the next.

Yeah the HID seems to have the upper hand, But the led nugs look nice and frosty just little smaller in general! Otherwise the nug developement is normal, Just a little behind...

wow.. great grow,
as fair as can be expected, for .5 the power usage, the LED's did great, congrats LEDgirl, for surviving the grow, , if your stuff was junk, we would know about it by now,

Blaz-ee-won, your a stand up guy, i read every single post in this thread, and i am pleased to meet you. (extends hand for shakin')

i always know the science was sound....
ya know, what, i'll bet if ya kept the LED CLOSER, you'd have better growth....i'm flowerin' under T5's, and i keep that shit 1/2 inch from the light....once the plant is hardened to it, it will be just fine!!, and really, a very straightforward test, thank you

:smoke out:

I really appreciate this thread. It inspired me to get two DIY LED lights for veg and stick with HID for flowering. I think the LED will create some nice bud, but I have plant limits to stick to so I have to go with big bushes and I'm not sure the LEDs would handle those as well.

Great grow and diary.

in real terms its actually .375 of the power usage, 180w against 480w or so

Yeah, I know regardless of what produces more in the end I am still impressed with the led.

I'm sure I could drop the LED closer and probably get better production from it.

The thing is I want to see how well it performs in the penetration department, If the LEDS dont have penetration power needed for growing nice bushes, That makes them a good alternative for micro growers and not so good for a commercial operation. Or larger scale personal ops!

As it appears currently they are better for micro style quick veg sogs or scrogs etc.

I wonder how a 345w Penetrator or 2 of these 205 units would do in the same space! Would still be less overall wattage then a 400w HID and I'm sure things would be a helluva lot closer. Or better yet the HID would probably be behind!
