QWISO questions

When making QWISO, after the first extraction, what is the best for the 2nd extraction, letting the trim/bud dry first, freezing the moist trim/bud, or doing the 2nd wash as fast as possible while still damp?

In starting with a pound of quality trim, how much QWISO would you expect for the first extraction? If I have about an ounce of deep red tar like oil, do you think all the solvent is evaporated or should I keep heating it? Can I over process it?

Let me simplify my questions. After the 1st wash on trim for QWISO, what is the best way to deal with the tirm before the 2nd wash? Should I wait till it drys? Should I freeze it while it is dry or or freeze it wet?? Use it while it is wet without freezing?

Yes, oil can be over processed. My understanding is that red oil means it was washed too long the first time and retained too much chlorophyll, but that makes alot of sense if you are using fresh frozen as opposed to dried or dried and cured.
I always make all of my extracts from dried and cured..it's a world of difference imo.

na it turned green from leaving it in contact to long

I LOVE using ISO on fresh clipped as a tool to decide when to harvest.

I use trich color as a guide, and do a qwiso wash on a bud to see if it's ready yet.

it DOES taste very clean too

I never thought of doing an entire run using fresh though, I'll have to give it a try in a few weeks at harvest
