Wider than the 6' pot? Nice. That blue dream sure does grow fast...Threat..on the other hand.molasses..haha..So worth it though at the end..mmm Kush..If I had all big blue dreams like yours I would try to keep them as low and wide as possible and get them to fill as much cubic footage as possible before hedging... Maybe at your new spot you will be able to space stuff out to not worry about it...

How's the weather been out your way? I took a frost the other night ..It was fun

On the spraying tip..Hitting them with Cal25 , Brix Mix early / mid morning is the way to go because once you hose them down with that and then they get nice and hot they will use up the spray well ...you also want to avoid soaking them and then it cooling off..they will stay wet for a long time this way and you do not want that, you can end up with branch/stem rot...Depending on what type of ' bug juice ' you're using you want to apply VERY early in the morning..before the sun is directly on them because many are UV sensitive.

Those Mendo Super Mites are immune to Floramite etc....If you want to kill them you need Forbid 4F and Akari..2 app of each in alternate...

My 200's are more like 5' wide, i reckon. I'll measure them when i go out there.

you should try my Bubbz... i'll give her a sexier name when she is proven out, but I have very high hopes for her. Fastest vegging Bubba I have ever seen. Stem rub (which has never failed me yet) says pure Bubba taste... My homegirl who brought me the strain spoke of nug at 8 weeks that looked amazing, just like pre-98. I am putting a lot of faith in an unproven strain... but that's what intuition is for.

Black boxes are filled with lots of kushes over here. Master, Bubba, OG, Shrek, ChemD... just got a huge jar of pre-98 that will hopefully last me till the boxes come down. I love me them kushes too.

I've tried many different S1 selections, the Bubba Kush, and many Bubba crosses..the ones that veg fast aren't really my cup of tea..I like that lemony limey kushy funk that Bubba has going when done perfectly...and shy away from the coffee/earthy hashier Bubbas that go around...I would like to see the finished buds of your Bubba K compared to my buds of the Bomb Threat...Right now I am most stoked on Humboldt Snow x Bubba Kush...which will be making a huge appearance in my scene next year as well as my Purple Indica x Bubba Kush selection which will be the other half of my Golden Garden next year...if my buddy comes through an re ups me on the PI x Bubba K I will have a spike crop of it which makes me a happy man because the PI/BK is one of my favorite smokes...Imagine the bomb threat with a floral incense note added and totally black...This plant has an insane root system and I think she will shine out side...even if she is "slow" growing like the rest of my plants.

I just finished putting my new hoopty together that I'm going to use for my black box..My 18x30 just is the wrong size for doing a dep in and its set up more for starting plants and getting them big rather than flowering in so I put a 12 x 50 together for the Bomb Threat...I have room next to it for another 12 x 50 which will happen but next year, and I will do less plants in 100 gal pots in my deps next year I will cover them in plastic and add lights so even if the weather is bad I can take starts from the 18x30 heated, lit hooper and put them in to the 12 x 50s in to 100s for vegging in 100 gal smarties to start flowering in late May..have another crops worth of plants vegging in the 18 x 30 to fill the 2 12 x 50s middle of July and then stop pulling tarp early August.

Yes..I am doing this year and planning for next this intensely. I am already clearing the space where I will fit 9 12x12 beds on 25' centers with each 12x12 having its own light and green house. In these beds I will put large marges like Dream, ChemDawg #4, SCBB, Green Crack etc.,.. Just to see how big I can push ONE...

First, a couple of Blue Dreams that are overgrowing their pots without any help. These will be the first to get hooked up with the Hortinova netting...

The PNL5H is stout, but going for it like mad.

And... The Bubbz:

Here s a peak into my secret garden... I have 12 more big ones in 200, 250 and 300 gallon smarties. Once I top a bit of brush, these will have excellent late season sun. All Blue Dream back here. Straw coming soon:

So... everything in the home garden is happyhappy. We're all in save one plant... we had to shovel dirt from each pot into the next because the "200's" high caliper made for me are actually 250's and we did not have enough dirt. We'll fill the last one in the morning. Tuesday, the watering system will begin to be installed. Not to put him on the spot, but onetime64 impressed me with his understanding of fertilizer injectors, so I tapped him to design the system and teach me what he knows (or as much as I can suck up during the install) about fertigation. I have been impressed thus far with his design and prep work. Props.

A note. I am watering twice a day now... the amount of perlite in my mix makes for very bad water holding capacity. If I was only watering around the rootball, like THill suggests (if i understood him correctly way back when) and not soaking the root ball itself, I would have to water 4 times a day. Less perlite in the small pot mix.

Anyhow... ubersherpa will be happy when the system is installed.

How can you NOT plan next year as this one flows along? I wouldn;t say I am intensely planning, but I am formulating ideas.

All those Bubba crosses sound delish. Tom Hill layed some Threat on me (aka, Bubba From God, yeah?) and it was, hands down, the best Bubba I have tried. I would say brighter than most of the Bubba I am used to.

Buuuut... this pre-98 grown in soil with AN nutes that I am puffing on right now is pretty sublime as well. I like it all.

This Bubba I am growing out now is definitely a fast vegger... what's your take on the pre-98? would you consider it a fast vegger? This Bubbz cut is like...3x faster than the pre-98. Especially if you are repotting at the right time.

2 days till tarp pull.

Very nice...things are looking a bit perkier since a few days ago. Seems like they're just about ready to take off.

It can be under the right conditions but not "fast" like the blue dream etc.,

thanks. now I have to magically make something like this x2 happen without the benefit of planning. Deep breaths, nomaad. Its a rush... and my wife and kids are going to visit the gp's for 3 weeks. Perfect timing.

This next project is what I trained for in the film industry. You show up, throw down and get it done. Half the time on some of the indie shit I worked on we'd throw the call sheet out the window and make it up, dialog, shots, everything as we went along. This feels kinda like that.

I'm hoping to have the first plants plugged in a week's time.

Black Gold , #4 Perlite , Dr Earth 5-7-3 & Nutri Rich 4-3-3 for what's left of the summer, Dr Earth 4-10-7 for flowering...??

That's what I would put together if I was trying to put something together fast.

On the perlite tip...4 cu of the #2 stuff is much much more perlite than 4 cu ft of the #4 due to the size of the rocks.

LOL. that would be sick. The Bubbz is not quite up there with the Blue Dream, but she is a lot faster than my experience with pre-98. I can't speak for the pre-98 I have running now because I did not start it myself. Nothing like the Bubbz though.

I'll never use Black Gold again. Runs out of N weeks before anything by roots or fox farms. Not saying its not a good quality base if you are going to dump a lot of amendments in there...

How much chickenshit would you put in if you wanted to plant by next sunday?

We're running Happy Frog and FFOF. Already at the site. Budget is an issue so #2 perlite in 4x4' totes is where its at. Also...try getting #4 perlite in mendo or lake. Plugged by Sunday...

In a 300 , if I wasn't going to hit them with much else 25 pounds of the 4-3-3 (comes in a 50lb sack) or 1 bag of Sup R Green.. As you know I dump a lot of amendments on them...that is why I push Pro Mix and Black Gold so hard..they really give you a lot of room to play instead of guessing the content of a mix like Green Fields that has some of the same ingredients as mine...combining black gold with the ingredients myself I know exactly what I'm working with...amendments like Crab and Shrimp have Chitin...which must be present in a certain amount to be effective same with Alfalfa and triacontanol....but in a situation like your new spot, it doesn't really work out to do it that way. I cant wait to do the 12x12x1 beds..

that Dr. Earth looks good and is priced well... more comprehensive product than the Old Age dry grow for a better price. Hope I can get it locally. No problem planting right into that?

Just saw in another thread that its available at Ace Hardware. That should make it easy.

Diesel genny out the mendo lake trader should do you right...a 25kW should do everything ..that is if you want your girls to have lights, fridge/freezer, heat in the fall ...if you want to build a drying building there etc.,

Do you know about Hexayurts?? They're pretty cool...much better than tents. Putting the roof on 2 wall pieces is the way to go for sure for staying from June to Oct. You can build a pretty big one for cheap and it'll last and be much more comfortable for your help. You can put straw down or put a floor in for them which can be done using pallets and some 1/2" Tounge & Groove boards

I think you'd get by just fine on a bag of sup r green and 7 lbs of 5-7-3 per 300 gallon.

The women who will be working the hill come with campers...

For trimmers/trimming, I am going to be using a shelter that I will talk about once I have ordered it as they are almost out of stock on the item I want...

I will be drying in a 20 or 24 ft pacific dome with a raised floor made out of old dirt pallets wrapped in dirt bags as a vapor barrier and topped with plywood. The generator will be the minimum required to run the twister and dehumidifiers. 25kw is way over the top. Everything else will run on wind, solar and probably some micro-hydro in the winter.

HL: what is the draw on the twister?

Nomaad, totally excited for you on your new endeavor! I love the planning and starting phase. everything new and exciting, new territory, unkown outcomes. so awesome. i like the film work analogy, for me it was always a matter of riding and steering the beast as it takes on a life of its own. that and lots of hustle.

how do you make a turbine work in a creek? what can you tell us about alternate power sources?
