BrotherGanja's Backyard Grow 10'

Hey there all you marijuana loving people. So I am gonna do it, finally getting things under way. Iam more then halfway with installing a privacy fence so no one can see from the road. I live in a neighborhood so it is important to be discrete, although the fence building isn't really but I know we will be fine.

What:

10-12 150gal Smart Pots
Mixed with a blend from a local bulk soil supplier. It is a mix of mushroom compost, standard compost perlite and organic top soil. I will be adding in some kelp meal to keep em fed for a good month.

Gonna try to have to keep these ladies low cause I can't have em popping over the fence, so I was trying to come up with a nice support system that could also keep the plants more spread out. Like a SOG kinda idea but not a SOG.

Strains: Ok these are not for sure yet haven't quite decided.

-5--- XJ13
-1-- Blue Dream
-1-- White Rhino
-3 to 5--A strain from hawaii called Hiram
-1 to 3-- Another strain from HI called Jade

There probably will be some others in there I just don't know what yet. I really want to grow at least just one Blue Dream, cause I know the results from experience, but we will see it needs to happen soon though.

I will be feeding with Organic Guano Teas that basically came from the organic for beginners section here, I have tweaked the recipe for my own needs. I will be supplementing in Cal-Mag, Silicon and Foliar the Micronutes. I will definitely be changing things as need be.

So there is the basic overview of what we got going on. I am looking at the future with positive intentions and love. So I think the universe will provide this back.

Here is a photo of the area we are working with!

The plants are gonna be to the left of the rock beds. There will be a couple below the beds also. The reason for this is, number 1 the best sun is out there, number 2 I have a neighbor right next door to me on the other side so he can't really see on that side cause my house blocks his view, but he is gonna see things no matter what eventually cause he is 30ft off the ground on his deck. So, the other day I put a plant out on my deck right where he could see it to let him know my intentions and see if he would say anything. He hasn't but he is really nice to me and seems to like me so that is good and I know it will all work out.

Gotta go finish that fence now here is one more pick. I am honored to join the fine outdoor growers of ICmag love watching these things take place. Stay safe :yay:

All finished up for today it was insane I have blisters all over my hands and a mild sunburn, good days work ahhh. Today I dug at least ten post holes and sank the posts for the fence. I want to have the plants in no later than 15th so I am gonna have to bust my ass. I am doing a solar training all week 8-5 so I am gonna have to finish the fence up when I get home each day. Get some smart pots ordered and get ready!!!

Wow looks nice dude. Nothing good comes easy so you should be in for something great. I know how hard the work is so I feel your pain, but it's all gonna pay off. I think i'll sub to this one.

Hey ICmag Peoples. Things are looking great, finished up with the support for the fence now I just need to put the planks on then we are ready to go and get some soil and pots and start growing. The weather is unbeelievable right now I woke up and it was 50 degrees in my garage, I am kinda glad my plants are not in there now wow this is crazy nor cal weather. In the next few days we should have the planks and plants will be moved outside that, of course being hardened off from now till then. Hope everyone else is doing alright. Got to go learn about solar now later.

Tonto: Thanks man I feel good about it too it is a nice space and there is a bonus, it over looks the lake and is amazing. Yea!!!

Show us some plants :)

Peace !

Thanks Haxi I will be filling up the space as much as my budget will allow me.

Socbutter- I will be installing security 1 or 2 camera for a constant eye on the place from inside and some motion detectors for the perimeter. As you can see in the pics my neighbor can see right down on me, but he is an older guy and a good person, I don't see any problems from him.

So we finally got the 1x6s and will be setting them up tomorrow. I have already started hardening off the plants now for a few days so as soon as it's done I will be setting the plants out. I won't be able to get the 200s yet so i will have to keep transplanting up for another week or so, but they should be fine doing that, right? So all the hard work is starting to show progress and I am super excited!!!

Here are some pics of the plants, probably gonna end up running alot of XJ13 cause none of my clone suppliers seem to be coming through. Oh well here are a couple of them now.

And some afternoon sun shining down on the sacred spot. This pic was actually taken at 4:20pm so it looks like thats when my shading starts coming in. Probably later as the summer goes on.

if you are on a tight budget, you might consider downgrading your pots. with the late start and size of your plants, 100-150 gallon smartpots would be a better (and less expensive) plan... since you are using smartpots, just till up the ground underneath, add some amendments. cheaper pots, less dirt, probably the same yield... and with the smarties and tilled ground beneath, you won't get rootbound... (but i don;t think that would be a serious problem anyway with the comination of factors you are working with). I'm betting you will not have better results in 200's.

Thanks Nomaad

You know, we were considering this, and you bringing it to the table confirms it. We are gonna downsize to 150 cause I know your right on this one. Due to the tight budget we have decided to build our own pots using wiring and Landscape fabric. Does anybody know what size it should be? My guess was about 3'6" in diameter and 15 to 18" high?
Anyway got the fenced finished and should be getting the pots ready tomorrow all is well and things are finally moving with momentum.
