Mendocino Grand Jury says 'Smokers Beware'

The Mendocino County grand jury on Thursday issued a report on marijuana in the county which gathers a lot of well-known information about the state of marijuana growing in this county and basically recommends that the county allow the sheriff to continue to do his job to crack down on it and the District Attorney's Office do a better job of prosecuting cases even-handedly.

The grand jury also found that much of the marijuana illegally grown here may be contaminated with chemical poisons harmful to marijuana smokers.

The grand jury also recommends that:

The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors use the zip-tie funds for a six-month full-time position for the administration of the program.

The Mendocino County Sheriff's Office continue to administer the "zip-tie"program and develop other programs that will eliminate costs and create revenue.

The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors not decrease the number of sheriff's deputy positions in the budget.

Law enforcement and the legal community establish a uniform definition of a "mature" marijuana plant.

The grand jurors concluded that "There is controversy regarding the effectiveness of marijuana for the relief of some symptoms of illnesses and disabilities. Marijuana grows contribute to an environment of crime, an underground economy, social problems, costs for government services, and environmental degradation.

"Witnesses stated that when there is excessive use of rat poison or pesticides in a wet or irrigated area, it will be absorbed by any plant in close proximity, and is unfit for human consumption. The unknown chemicals used in marijuana grows can negatively affect your health. Caveat fumor; let the smoker beware."

The grand jury says while its investigation shows that pot growing is still causing criminal and environmental problems in this county, the laws and regulations affecting marijuana cultivation continue to be complex and confusing.

More than 31 findings are included in the report, which can be read at www.co.mendocino.ca.us/grandjury.

I often stick up for Commercial Growers...
But for the ones that are doing what is stated in this report, polluting water and land....
Fuck You!! That is way wrong!! Even if it is on your own property, but you are diverting/polluting water, then you are your own worse enemy-- Now THIS, I consider nothing but greed....as you make enough $$ to be "Responsible"--
But now, like with so many other things...many have to suffer, from the stupidity of a few--

EPIC FUCKING FAIL.

- Lethal dose for mammals of most store bought warfarins found in common rat poisons is about 7-10% of body weight. I would LOVE to see the plant able to suck up 10-15 lbs of straight rat poison.

Because it is illegal. THEY are the cause of this, not us!

When are these idiots going to realize that they can't stop Cannabis use?
The illegal status of Cannabis is what creates ALL the problems!
I realize I'm preaching to the choir, but jeeeez!

Is pollution not already illegal? A lack of regulation doesn't cause idiots to pollute.

Sounds like more myth building by the establishment.

Rat Poison?? Seriously, is that a secret ingredient to growing killer buds? Lots of growers going around spreading rat poison on their soil? Sounds like just more scare tactics.

the cops def. need education about mature female plants. heck, they dont even know the difference between marijuana flowers and marijuana stems!

and the "other ways of creating revenue" HELLO!!! tax it, like oakland!

seniorbuzz had the information you needed to see...

http://www.icmag.com/ic/album.php?albumid=18851

the poison warfarin completely degrades at boiling point of around 322 F.
Smoking this via cigarette or pipe raises the temp to:

"
Temperature without drawing:
Side of the lit portion: 400 deg C (or 752 deg F)
Middle of the lit portion: 580 deg C (or 1112 deg F)
Temperature during drawing:
Middle of the lit portion: 700 deg C (or 1292 deg F)

So... BOGUS PROPAGANDA BULLSH*T !! The spinners want you to remain ignorant and they are successful a great percentage of the time. It took just minutes to refute this with the webs help. Right now it is our biggest assett. Recognize what 'bama was able to accomplish, utilize the web in the same way to rid of us our detractors and outright enemies.
People more easily accept the truth when a friend or family member testifies to it. They say there are seven degrees of seperation, then it shouldn't take us long to reach the top!
As long as we fervantly believe this prohibition is unjust and can convey this rationally to to masses they will begin to believe it too. The internet is a tool to do just that.

"The committee findings indicate that illicit growers are lacing their marijuana with the chemical compound secreted by the anal scent glands of skunks which is harvested from dead skunks."

Sorry I couldn't help myself, I felt I needed to contribute some propaganda.

Although I could see some dip-sh*t Mexican cartel grower throwing rat poison in some sketchy basement grow room.

Look from the other perspective, look at perspective of greedy legal drugs sellers. Legal drugs in this case are alcohol, tobacco and perscription pills.

If cannabis indeed is a cure and a natural protection against cancer, they don't won't it. Because they would lost mass amounts of money and power in the process.

At the pollution we have, there is kinda easy way to get cancer. First u smoke tobacco and drink alcohol for ~25 years and give them monthly payments, then u get cancer and treatment costs unbelievable high amounts of money.

On the cancer treatment they usually don't heal you but make your condition even worse. Why does google search for chemotherapy success says it is only succesful in 2.5-5% of cases?!

I believe chemotherapy is as effective as it would be healing with fertilizer directly into veins. It would kill some cells and leave some cells alive, but it would be damaging to body and also to cancer cells.

Wake up! They want you sick, they don't want you healthy. Everything, from police actions to media actions from DEA/FDA/Slovenian healthy commite, etc., is just mass brainwash.

Cannabis is in my opinion essential source of cannabionids in a way that it heals human body, kill cancer cells and protects from viruses from outside.
