Looks promising - more branchy and flexible than the pure KC by the looks of things, which is what I found with the JLos too, even though Flo's very similar in structure. I think the pole-plant gene may possibly be recessive, as it seems to diminish in crosses...:chin:

cheers EM - having heard it was tough to get it to branch i took some fairly drastic action which seemed to work out :)

it'll be interesting to see if i can get the sideshoots to grow in the scrog as well as the tops. i usually find with any strain grown from seed that it's harder to get the auxins to divert from the tops, whereas a clone of the same plant will be easier to reduce the dominance of the tips in the scrog.

Hiya Rick - yeah, by 'pure', I just meant the original KC clone. Which reminds me, my plant is almost ready for flowering - probably the last time I'll run it I guess.

VerdantGreen - that's the way to do it! Looks like it should produce way more branches already. Can't wait to see what the resin coverage turns out like ;)

Yo dude,, PLEASE dont kill that buddy!!!

Your KC takes extra work,, it's a bitch to grow,, max-lumens or under-glass,, and the taste isn't amazing,, but it's a ****in nice plant.. rare isn't the word ,,, stuff like that is NOT the norm,, yet it's still pukka!!

I've simply got too many strains to maintain. At last count it was about 20 in veg, with clones of others around, new seeds started, etc. Ridiculous. So I got rid of a few last week to various friends - potted a large one in someone's garden yesterday, sold a few plants at flower-size to another, etc. I won't say which strains, as I don't want to break any hearts, but I have to stop somewhere!

But the KC is now kind of redundant to me, as I've got the JLos to work on, and many more of my own crosses to start off, and I'll never do it if I keep every strain I ever get - the main thing is it's out there now, and not extinct, which was always my main worry. One or two friends still have it too, so it won't die. It is tricky to grow, but the good ones always seem to be.

BTW DocLeaf, that fat KC looks great - haven't seen one looking like that since...well, since I grew it last...;)
