Have ALL of your vehicle paperwork ready for traffic stops, no one document being questionable will get you out of a stop asap. be ready to answer questions such as "have you ever been arrested before?", "are you on probation or parole?", "why are you moving?" (don't tell them it's the mmj) and you'd better be truthful about ALL of it because they know, if you lie to them it could give them probable cause, they're allowed & you're compelled to answer truthfully any legal question they ask you.
buy the vacuum bag sealer bro it'll be the $100 you'd wish you'd spent if you do get caught. Double or triple seal bags (not jars) of weed for transport, jars don't stash well. Buy a Coleman FIVE DAY (super insulated) cooler and stash it all in there then cover with ice. That cooler would be in the front of the trailer making it the very last place they'd be able to search. double/triple sealed weed won't get wet, nor would single vacuum sealed weed if done right. COLD kills/masks odor.
When cops stop & question you they watch your eyes constantly to try to detect deception; make good eye contact w/out fidgeting or scratching your head/face (another sign of lying) and tell them only what they ask of you.
If you're high and your pupils are dilated then just squint if you have the flashlight in your face @ night when addressing leo, don't lock him into a stoner stare. to hide those pupils on a daylight stop slip on a pair of 'cheaters' (cheap reading glasses) instead of trying to hide behind shades which he'll ask you to remove anyway.
if you have a stash/pipe/dugout riding up front with you NEVER look at its hidden location, a lot of stoners will look at their closed glovebox let's say reassuring them that the 'evidence' is hidden, these nervous glances tell the cop where to look.
get high ONLY while well hidden @ rest stops and be sure to stash that dugout out of your reach while driving & therefore out of the quick search area by leo. consent to no searches.
you're hauling a cargo trailer so keeping w/in the speed limits will assure you of no stops for that reason.
I've driven back and forth from MN to NY about 25 times in 22 years and have never gotten caught with my stash and most recently was drug searched in 2 states (but stopped in 3 states) by leo w/K-9 units while holding an ounce plus. they found nothing due to vacuum sealing my weed.
Remember if you get caught w/your head stash up front for the ride you'll be searched well enough to find that QP.......

Yeah, I'll be transporting 1000 pounds from Florida, up through all 50 states, then back down. Will be selling 1/4 ounces out the back at all the schools along the way. BTW - I'll be using an SUV marked "U.S. Department of Homeland Security".

I've decided to purchase that vacuum sealer, your post convinced me. To not do so would be penny wise and pound foolish as they say. I think I might print out your post and keep it in my wallet.
I am wondering how the "cheaters" glasses help in that situation... Do they hide your eyes condition in some way? If you know the answer, I would love to know how it helps.
just a little something between your pupils and his direct look @ them, use the frames to glance over at the cop & then down again at the wallet in your hand, just use them as a tool of distraction/diversion if you're stoned just to avoid let him/her getting a good look into your eyes. You want to make good eye contact if possible again even if you're squinting a bit to do so.
if the cop says your eyes look red then use the "I've been driving too long" or "I'm just road weary is all" excuse.
I cruised right by a trooper in a construction zone in Wisconsin one late night/early morning and got stopped, I was blazed hard but wrote it off as being tired, I even told him "I was tempted to stop & rest @ the last Trooper Barracks back there (as if I had nothing to hide) but need to make some miles." He gave me a verbal warning w/o even running my license & then told me I should get some rest in the next area ahead.
vaccum seal the jars and put them in a seperate locked trunk. they need a warrant to search it. supreme court says so.

All this vacuum seal crap just use 1/2 gallon Ball mason jars you can get 4 oz in two jars easily
Hey Hal, Welcome to the best coast. We can sure burn one one you get here. It is pretty cool here. I would not just burn any old place, but less than an ounce is just a $500 ticket and not everyone gets a ticket when they get caught. Certain things will sway the cops opinion if deciding to cite you or not. It would be pretty rare to be cited in your own home.
just use some regular canning jars from Ball or Kerr...only 12 bucks for a 10 pack that will easily fit your QP.
keep your seeds and QP seperate...maybe hide the seeds somewhere really good.

I'm sure you could pawn it off to a buddy for super cheap. Its not like you'll have any trouble getting some when you get there. It is Oregon after all.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already, but you should check to make sure the headlights, hazard lights, turn signals, etc are all in good working order before you hit the road. Getting pulled over for a busted tail light is a bullshit move, but you know how leo likes bullshit moves.
As for the herb, I would just fill up some mason jars and stick them waaay in the back of the uhaul, behind all your other stuff.
Should be an easy run. Congrats and enjoy Portland. They have some great micro brews there. Had something called bear claw many years ago. Good stuff.

Dude you are gonna get busted,paranoia will destroy ya,why popst stupid crap like this= I travel with weed twice a week flying coast to coast for my work and never ever even worry about it,driving cross country=just stash it in the frame of your car somewhere/secure it to the top of your gastank=do something even if its wrong

I have made that trip a couple times. Drive normal, don't fool around with phones and shit too much when you are driving, you know the kind of stuff that will make you swerve and force a check and DO NOT SPEED. .
Most states now have new laws about talking on the phone. If you have an ear piece for your phone USE IT.
Another new law that most states are adapting is that when a cop in on the shoulder you Have to get a lane over for them on the freeways. I have been in court and seen Scores of those cases tried. Cops want you to give them a huge buffer.
Don't just yak on the phone with no earpiece, don't speed and when you see a cop on the shoulder than move a lane over.
You seem to be taking your time, so drive during the day as much as possible, dont drive when you are tired, and try to wait until you get to a hotel to burn.
I have driven most of the interstates that you will be driving and have never had any problems. Speeding is the big one. Wide open spaces make you want to speed. If you go a route that takes you thru California (not likely). They have a law that all vehicles that are towing have to keep their speed to 55mph. You will see a million signs.
The time of year you are driving is vacation time and there will be lots of fish for the sharks to be watching for. It is not outdoor harvest time so drug interdiction is probably not as high a priority as in the fall and winter.
