Whats up guys? This is my first grow here and I am absolutely pumped to watch the plants grow! I am running a 600w HPS cooled with a 6inch ducting fan. I have 4 Querkle and 4 Sour Diesel clones that I picked up from a dispensary here in Sacramento. They are in 3 gallon pots in a soilless medium that I got from a local hydroponic store. I am feeding them Foxfarm Growbig/Tigerbloom and Beasty Budz. Right now they are getting the Tigerbloom and Beasty Budz every other watering. I am watering roughly every fourth day when they get dry.

I vegged them for a total of 19 days before I had to switch to flowering (moving out of the apartment in August). They are working on week 2 of flower. Anyways I'm babbling here are the kids

The Sour Diesel is about 27-28" and the Querkle's are roughly 18" tall right now. The Sour Diesel has stretched a ton during flowering. Here are some baby pictures of the kids. One of the Sour Diesels didn't grow as well, I'll try to get some pictures of it later. Otherwise my plants are looking beautiful now and it's exciting :D

Hi!

Are you following the Fox Farm feeding schedule? I am. I do not think you should be giving them Beastie Bloomz until well into flower? BB isn't called for until the 3rd week of 12/12 light.

Cheers and nice grow!

I'm following the general feeding schedule. I'm only using the BB now because I had someone in the hydro store tell me that he uses it the entire time. I can't afford the Cha-Ching or the other one (nor do I know if they are worth it or not). Am I going to cause any added stress by using it now or will it be cool? I'm mainly concerned with the micro-nutes it has and getting those into the kids.

Hey guys, glad to see people excited like I am! Anyways, I freaked out during veg because I got a little bit of burning on some leaves. It hit one plant hard and 2 other plants got burned very lightly. I think it was a Magnesium deficiency but I could totally use a second opinion.

I applied a weak concentration of Epsom salt to a foliar spray back when the burning started and the plants kept on trucking, except for the one Sour Diesel that stunted pretty badly. They're all stretching out now in flowering so the burning wasn't too bad.

The lights come on soon and I will try to remember to grab a picture or two of the runt compared to the big Sour Diesels.

So I just pulled the runt out and it is still super heavy compared to my other plants. It doesnt seem to be drinking up all its water while the other ones fly through it. Ive got two pictures, one is a comparison of one of the beasts of a Sour D to the runt and the second is what I'm finding lower down on the runts branches. Hopefully someone might be able to give me some pointers/help.

So the Sour Diesel is starting to bud up nice now. I've got a few pictures from the other day to post right now, but nothing new for a little bit today. Got the landlord coming to show the apartment off to potential renters right now and the babies are all locked up. Hoping that they are quick so I don't have to keep the lights off too long. Anyways, heres some more pics

@Smoke. I have read that Querkle is a heavy yielder and that Sour Diesel is a pretty good yielder itself. I would love to get a pound off the 8 but I won't be upset with any amount. This is my first grow and its just exciting to be growing them in the first place.

@mudvaynefan. Thanks for the love from someone so close! Where have you looked in Sac for quality seeds/clones/prices? This weather has been bizarre, but hey, every day that stays cool means I don't have to run the A/C so much! Not looking forward to running a 600w light upstairs when its 100+ degrees outside. I was in Midtown at my sister's place last week and it was so damn humid I felt like I was breathing water lol.

lol, humidity is off the chart for sac. I remember living in KS, and feeling like you were taking a hot shower all the time.

I dont know, I have found a balance in these sac clubs. The one I frequent the most, and have put as much trust in strangers as Im gonna, provides alot of services for free, and are a community. Prices are ok sometimes, but ive seen better.

Now, the clubs Ive seen better prices at, are storefront clubs, that have no community, just a place to sell weed/hash/clones. The funny thing is, all the clones at all the clubs Ive seen, all are taken care of the same. They look half dead, and you can see the insects flying around them.

Im supposed to want to take this home, into my cab? lol? Seeds are ok from sac clubs, I have seen genes being advertised, at a well known sac club, that, according to BOG, he had not YET brought down the strains to the club, and in 2 weeks, the listing was gone.

SO BUYER BEWARE. With confidence, I would purchase genes, that are club/ town/region regulars. Ingrid is one, most blue dream is good to own in sac, ive seen alot of good green crack, used to see good snow cap. I dont know, I have 6 year old seeds, besides these grape ape, and blue dream clones.

I think most mean well, but if you want some names, PM me, Id be happy to tell you some.

@mudvayne. Yeah I have seen some complaints lately on ********* and through friends looking at clones. It's been easy enough for me so far considering I only bought 8 for my first grow so I could grab up the better looking cuts, but I want to grow something different in my future grows. I'd love to find some special genetics/phenos/seeds/etc in this area but I'll probably start to grow from seeds and order the seeds from the reputable seed banks. Theres a lot of great Norcal strains and the super popular strains that keep showing up but I'd love to see some landraces or oldschool or different strains pop up from time to time.

@Greenadian. Thanks for the love! I will probably add some more pictures of the budding later tonight, the Querkles are budding nicely so far!

Yea, that sounds good.

I have a grape ape clone free from someone whos already flowered and smoked it, so Im ok with it. I would say, get cuts of smoke from a grower that you liked when you smoked it.

Or do like you said, order seeds, and keep a mom. There are some great greats cuts going around, and there are alot of cuts going around sharing the name only.

I have noticed, that the high dollar areas, is where these cuts that everyone wants seems to pop up, and as it gets further away, its less likely to be what you had in mind when you bought it.

L.A, San Deigo, Humboldt Oakland, bay area, all those places, good shit pops up, I question cuts and seeds sold in some smaller sac clubs.

I'm considering hitting up either the Clearlake clone farmer's market deal or the club in Oakland that sells the Oaksterdam cuts if I grow from clones. The only grower I know in Sac so far is a friend of mine who is going onto cycle two and is still growing Hindu Skunk. Probably just going to order up Mr. Nice's SSH and the Greenhouse's SLH and play with those. I tried germing bagseed before and had no luck, kinda excited by the prospect of learning the fun of germing and spotting the sex of plants.

Picked up some neem oil today because it looked like the runt had some pest damage going on. Gave them all a light foliar spray and hit the runt up under the leaves and all over. Hoping this will nip it in the bud so to speak.

Speaking of buds, got some new pics to throw up:
