125watt CFL Guitar Cab Grow!

Hello to ICmag it's great to have found somewhere to post since my last home shutdown.

So it's been nearly a year since my last grow, situations meant not being able to grow because of space. Then i came up with an idea.

Enter the Guitar Cab

I bought a cheap guitar cab (£60) for my band but alas the cab was utter shite. Anyway my friend had returned my 125watt Enviro he'd been using, and i'd been peering inside the cab, when it hit me. This would make an ideal grow space.

So after very little modification I had prepped my grow space. I have spent very little on this grow.
The most barring the cab was £42.99 for some Mossy's Jems/PurpleJems
6.99 for a 80mm fan
that's it. I have had various other grow bit's and bob's from past years.

So here are 6 Jems regular sex. I'm going to do a seed run first, then a sort of perpetual grow in the cab. Replacing any males or harvested females with fresh seeds. The indoor plants are 2 weeks old now and in these pictures.

Also a few pics of the outdoor plants (nirvana white rhino & Jems) The Jems are the two in the small pots, they were the runts of the indoor lot.

Enjoy :thank you:
STJ

ill be watching this, almost identical setup cept for i use a PA cab lol. I think we may even have the same self assemble green house (4 tier, 20 quid?). when using these 125watters horizontally, it seems to be a bit lopsided, providing more light to the left or right side of the cab, so i plan on getting another and hanging horiz, and facing it 180degrees from the other lamp

hey horhey, i was thinking about adding another light for better coverage aswell, but as it's the summer and temp are just right with one light I don't think i'll be adding another until autumn-ish. Yeah a 4 tier but was on offer for less than £10

Thanks for looking in.

I also seem to have sufferred a bit of heat damage aswell me thinks.

Few more details
soil was John Inns Seedling soil
A few scoops of Vermiculite
20/4 light cycle
no ferts as of yet

Okay so week 3 would have began tomoro then realised i got my dates wrong. So week 3 began on sunday. Obviously what I thought was heat damage is a fert issue, going to week 3 in this soil won't do. At least I now know from week two to start on the ferts.

Also got my first female, which is a tad earlier than expected, that may be my candidate for pollination. It's the biggest a best looking out of the lot. It's showed sex at day 16.

Pics to follow!!

Thanks for looking in Iron Lung and Breezy.

Another photo update for ya'll.

Okay so I have got 2 males and 1 female. The male (brown pot) I want pollen from has been potted up and so has the female i'm going to pollinate. Obviously without seed I can't do a perpetual run.

Also added my small led bulb again and placed it above the female, what the heck. It's cheap and nasty and didn't even work when I got it of ebay (diy solder fix), but its a few more lumens i guess.

Got my free seeds in the post today, bought 3 Female Speedy Gonzales and got 4 beans. Also got a free rocklock, sensi star, sour cream, sour kush, wappa, warlock, chronic, and motivation. All females seeds, all free!!! Don't think anywill be getting germed for quite some time though.

Improvise and win! If you can make a v shaped or curved aluminum reflector for the light, that would help.

thanks for the advice yesum, i have added the reflector and it has definatley helped to brighten up the dark corners so I know thats working.

Lamphill there is probably just under a metre maybe about 80cm so it's got plenty of headroom for a micro cab.

Quick update then, plants are looking perkier than before they got nutes, also now got 2 males, 2 females, and 2 unsexed. Also they are entering there stretch phase also.

Thanks for popping by cheesebuds and Fuzz

Okay update time. A few changes have happened. I have attached my light to a board which will have another 125watt enviro attached to it, hopefully tomorow. Still don't know if I should get another Red or get a Blue?????

I have now potted up and tied down. The male has just started bursting a few sacks. So i've had the fan on to blow around abit. Shame I'm not going to get any sensi, but there still should be some bud with trichs on right??

Now there is some lovely flowers developing, finally something to see ;) Week 5 begins on sunday (I think..... I'm really bad at keeping the dates right..... Come harvest I'll have a loupe anyways.... Or will that matter, will the seed mature before Trichs mature??)

I have moved the other Jem outside due to space issues, as I have popped 4 fem Speedy Gonzales.

I'm gettin xcited again because I can see the buds developing now. Still no trichs but it's early yet!!

Does anybody know about the picture allowance. I seem to have nearly ran out. If I have a bigger post count will I get more space???

Thanks Peeps Till the next time

Okay so I realised that my plants have had extreme nute burn, so I have spent the last 1hr 30mins flushing the plants, and the run of is still very nutrient saturated. Note to self never use Orange and Blacks own brand Organic Fruit and Vegetable Compost. Never ever ever ever ever!!

So since I have potted up I have probably seriously stunted there growth. So thats roughly 2 weeks worth of growth. Live and learn!!!

Well back to the flush..............

Righto I have still not sorted out the nute burn, this soil is hot hot hot. I have flushed and flushed and still the run off is very brown. I have washed the roots and changed the soil on the one that is in the little pot. It seems okay, but it will be somewhat shocked.

Also my outdoor garden has been reduced to the biggest and best specimens. The pooch has been chomping at a good rate so I have had to uproot the 2 big rhinos and pot them then place em in the greenhouse. They do look rather good mind. The rest of the outdoor plants I had kicking around have been culled.

One has had a heavy defoliation due to the dog. So in the green house right now I have 2 big rhinos, one topped rhino, and a female Purple Jem.

I'll update on the indoor purple jems when There is some more buddage.

Stay tuned

Okay so another quick update, I have transplanted all of the plants into fresh soil. The one in the little pot has increased in growth so I have done it to the other two. Fingers crossed it all goes well.
