Shipping Container Grow Room //

I'll let the pictures speak for them selves.

So this is what I have in mind, and I'll call it "Pimp my shipping container".

A website is selling these, and they build em on your demands (yes the growroom) And im not even sure if that includes lights and stuff but anyways they charge £ 5,999 for it, which is over my budget anyways cause im planning to go with multiple ones.

What i want is to build my own, since im not willing to pay overprice for something i can do myself. The container basicly costs around £1,000+ and grow Equipment and other stuff can be sorted for £2,000..

Assuming i already sorted out where to have this container, and power supply, i need some help with remodeling it from the inside + Ventilation!

Does anyone have any experience from this kinds of grow op's, pictures, vids? anything to get some ideas and inspiration.

Here's the only vid i found, search for it.

UG 31 Shipping Container Grow @ youtube

Unfortunately he doesnt speak too much about ventilation in/out take, and things like isolation ect..

Anything will help! ideas !

dont cut the metal. build a closed room environment. CO2 and a powerful A/C. no need for ventilation.

a sealed room is generally safer and will yield more.

Will you bury it like a bud bunker?

No.. I don't have the tools for it and it's way beyond my league,
also i'd need ground where i can dig ect. im just gonna rent a spot to place my container in, loads of ppl rent a spot there and keep containers for storing, some have been remodelled to "fridges" to keep food/Drinks for shops stored... so sound isnt a prob.

Ahhh...yes why didnt i think of that, where can i find a CO2 system and a powerful A/C suited for THIS?

Wow sounds like a very simple idea.. At least for how big of a grow it is. You better have some damn good experience.. If you don't know what A/C or Co2 to use you probably haven't done enough growing to go this big. You have your own locks on the container etc? No way anyone else can access it? I'd definetly make room inside the container and then used a closed room environment so that no metal would have to be cut, and suspicious venting being made.

Sounds like a good plan yeah, thats the case.. I'd have own locks and I'll be the only one with access to it..
Im not very familiar with introducing Co2 into grow rooms but with some research I'll be ready for it, first thing that popped up ni my head, was how to maintain good levels of Co2 vs o2 ...

Good thing is, since ill be getting my electricity from there, bill can be fairly large, since there are huge containers over there with fridges built in them, who knows how much they run for, imagine in a hot day, to keep the cold in there..sun is heating those metal walls.

I saw a bunch of these being made at that new hydro shop in oakland. They had about 8-10 lights per container and were wiring them all up and shippin em off. Got me thinking about the possibilities of stacking them if one had the vertical space...

do they have a website?

ya its like igrow.com, just watched some of their shit, fucking walmart grow companies thinking we all want some fucking oaksterdam. any hu, i have always loved this idea, when i got the scrizzla imma get 10 of these and bury them. you need a closed environment, a water cooled co2 burner, a co2 monitor, and a flow valve for the water. that can hook up to your grow room ventilation controller/ grow room master controller. best of luck to the other side of the pond.

i think the only time it would be good to grow in a shipping container is if you own a chunk of land with many shipping containers stored there.... there is one near where I live, and I always thought that it would be the PERFECT spot to set up 5 of them and run them on a genny. you could easily muffle a genny with one of those containers, or build it underground...

to just go and buy a single shipping container and put it in your back yard would be quite goofy and obvious...

you are better off going and buying a shed and just setting that thing up...

I beg to differ lone. I see people use these all the time.. its a gaint storage box bro. Not a missle silo. And to have one in a backyard isnt crazy. Seriously though that video was great unbran does a good job im going to use his light trap design. The ventilation was a chiller much like a dual hose AC times ten. I might give this a go. I found a 20x8x8 for 1300 usd on Craigslist in my area. What kind of system were you going to use?

Why not use a refrigerated shipping container so you don't have to install an air conditioner?
With lights running in it, it won't get as cold as it normally does.
