help keeping 10x10x7 room cool

basically i will have 1 1000w hps vertical bare bulb in the room with a fan under it blowing up at it.

I currently have a window air conditioner but its in the other room right now and its only 5,000btu's. I plan on buying another air conditioner so how many btu's should it have? just a window air conditioner.

and for odor control i am getting a 400cfm inline fan as well as a phresh filter 400. should i scrub this room with the filter and just cool the room with the ac in the window and thats it?

or should i exhuast the room with the inline fan and filter? if i do it this way, will the air conditiner act as the intake, or should i cut a whole for passive intake into the room?

Thanks

also will I have any issues with odor using this fan and filter for this size room? i went to phresh filter's website and they recomended 370 cfm filter so i figured the 400cfm would be best.. but i really have to have NO ODOR. i have neighbors pretty close.

great advice man, thanks for the effort!

dont even post in my thread if you dont have any input. i have only set up tents/1000w/reflectors in the past.. so i have no experience setting up rooms.

i see some people just scrubbing the room and cooling with an ac and not adding any CO2.. so, does the ac provide enough co2 alone if i didn't exhaust the room? if i did want to exhuast the room, can it be used as an intake?

so its not like i dont do my homework.. every free hour of my life for the past year and a half has been reading on different message boards..

just want good solid advice from people with more experience than me. In my experience, i only have harvested twice using tents.

That room is huge for 1k, you will not have problems cooling it with 5k btu

once you hook up your carbon filter and exhaust it out of the room you probably wont have the need for AC....with a intake also youll a-OK.....you got alot of room to work with

i was worried about tempts because in my tent it was always hard to keep temps under 85, but i always managed too. the tent was even in a room with a a/c in the room. i had a can fan 33/combo exhuasting the tent and had a magnum xxxl with a can fan 6ho air cooling the reflector.. in a room with an a/c and it was always around 83 in the tent.

it was most likely because the tent is only 5x5x7..

thanks for the help, im glad my room will be okay :) cant wait to see how it turns out.
