Hello all and thanks for lurking:tiphat:

I moved, because of work relate issues, and now have a new space. I couldn't take any of my mothers, so I found good homes for them, and I'm basically starting from scratch.

The beans I'm growing are as follows:
Mazar f???- Freebies
Super Silver Haze f2 - Freebies
Primo x Mystery F1 (Texada Timewarp X Blueberry JAM X ?)
Manitoba Medicine X Mystery F1
Romulan Diesel X Mikado F1
Mikado X Blueberry JAM F1

Day 9 from paper towel

Day 28 from paper towel

thanks for looking.... I'll keep you posted!

Yikes, you're 4 weeks into Veg and your plants haven't set up more than a few leafs? Something in that room isn't right. My guess would be the lighting.

Without more information my immediate advice would be to get your CFL lights within 2" (more like 1") from the tops of your plants. The casting range for CFL bulbs is very very low and they need to be kept very close to be useful.

A very simple tool to study this effect is a lumen/pH/moisture meter easily found at any garden center. Use this $5 tool to check the lumen levels at distances from your cfl bulbs.

As comparison here are my plants in coco using canna coco A & B. The taller plants are at about 28 while the shorter plants are more like 20 days from breaking ground.

yea cfl's are wack in general.
My location is extremely boondocks central, and I jumped the gun a few weeks as I was waiting on a bulb.

Thanks for the positive input, I am learning, and I think the info helps a ton!

OK.. finally got around to updating this.. sorry for the delays

Out of the 120 or so beans I popped, I got about 70-80 females. Out of those females, I made selections based on:

A) Vigor of growth/Healthiness of growth
B) Rhizomorphic root zones
C) Smell (the ones that smelt like rotten meat, or body odor got abolished)
D) Structure

Out of the selections I was left with about 30 females, to do my testings with. After my selections, my testings started off with what ones cloned the best, and in the shortest time frame. Now I have flipped 10 of the selected ones into flower to start to see which ones are the keepers.

My flowering chamber is 5'x3.5'x5'. I've kept it small because I'm only running a 400w hps, and I want to be able to cram these 1 gallon pots as close to the light and as close together as possible.

Hey madback good luck with the grow, they look hungry for magnesium. I hope you dont have too many of the outdoor strains going into bloom, those are for outside bro, should be a fun ride either way:)

Looking forward to seeing the Mikado. I am growing a Mikado cross this year that is supposed to be a monster. Good luck.

LOL thanks johny... most of the ones in flower are the primos. Most of the meds I thought would have been keepers, I found started flowering under 24/0, a little too squirrelly for my little micro grow... but I did find a couple that leaned more towards the D, so we will see what comes of it...

thanks man... I just hope that I get one of those that leans towards that bell ringing narcotic mikado that I remember, and the flavor profile of mikado is something else too... I'm super pumped.
