bubba kush vs. chemdawg

do the strains bubba kush and chemdawg have the same lineage of genetic heritage?

a commercial grower on icmag said they had to 'block' me because i said bubba and chemdawg have the same genetics in them.

anyways... ive read they have the same strain in them and I smoked them both side by side. The taste is the undeniable evidence.

I think your mistaken, OG kush with Bubba Kush...

if i remember correctly, bubba is a white label bubblegum x hindu(or master?)kush from sensi.

OG kush is the one related to Chemdawg i believe...

tr33, what im getting at is I know they are different, but SOMETHING in them comes from the same place... ive read that and by tasting I can tell. we will see if anyone has info on the actual genetic makeup of each, not likely I suppose.

in me experience the one standout trait (other than taste lol) of chem 4 and chem d were that they were the only ones that NEVER showed color in rooms regardless of temp differential

almost all genetics do, but not the chem d or chem 4 cuts

i totally agree, but they also have the SAME kushy richness aftertaste... I think it's the after taste where the similarity really comes in. and the high is very similar also

just becuase two strains may taste similar doesn't mean they share they same liniage. things like myrcen, limonene, caryophyllene, pinene, terpineol, borneol, delta s-carene, linalool, pulegone, and 1,8 cineole effect flavor and every bud contains different amount of each which attribute to flavor. it's possible that the chemical make up of both strains is very similar, but parentage is totally different.

this has been my experience as well. they only go from green to yellow
