Day 32:

Full Shots:

Zero veg clone from the larger plant in back (Big Momma):

Branches and other blurry close-ups:

I've cut down the 2-3ml of pk 13/14 for now. No particular reason other than I had a hunch. Past couple feedings have been as follows:

Canna A - 13ml
Canna B - 13ml
Rhizotonic - 2-3ml (guessed from bottle)
Boost - 10ml
Cannazym - 10ml

Other Observations:

- Big Momma has been thirsty! I've increased waterings to twice a day to reduce the risk of drying out.

- Big Momma has started the first sign of swell. Lil Pee wee is a few days behind.

That looks like some tasty bud right there. I can't wait to see how mine turns out!

I'll have to add back the pk 13/14 if they are known to be super hungry during weeks 4-5. Thanks for the tip!

Nothing much else to report as of yet. As they age, I am thinking lil Pee Wee will be more of a sativa pheno. The leaves are skinnier and she hasn't shown much sign of swelling yet, unlike Big Momma.

In other news, I think I will be upgrading my vegetative lighting from CFL vanity strips to either a 250w MH or 2x8 T5. This is mostly due to all the heat CFL's put out if I plug in all 16 bulbs. Heat isn't an issue at the moment, but it'll be getting warm soon as summer progresses.

Big Momma:

Nutes are basically the same, although I have upped the A + B to 14-15ml a gallon vs. 13.

Both lil Pee Wee and Big Momma are starting to get their first brown hairs. I wonder when Lil Pee Wee will start swelling?!

Big Momma:

Lil Pee Wee:

A couple more hairs are turning brown.

Feeding is pretty much the same, per gallon:

Canna A - 15ml
Canna B - 15ml
Rhizotonic - ~3ml
Boost - 10ml
PK 13/14 - ~4-5ml
Cannazym - 10ml

I decided I won't be pollenating this round. My mother/clone spot needs to be beefed up a bit more first. It's either going to be a small tent or jury rig the bottom of an ikea desk with panda film, 2x8 T5 or 250w, and better air flow. The goal, be cleaner, and reduce risk of PM.

Big Momma:

Lil Pee Wee:

0Veg was outside the tent when I took these pictures. It had to be moved temporarily so I could wiggle in and start staking the lower branches of Big Momma. She is starting to pack on weight!

A few more hairs are turning brown. Even though Big Momma has been swelling a lot, the hairs on Lil Pee Wee seem to be browning faster.

The seed pack said 70 days, so I am thinking about starting flush once all/most of the hairs have turned. We'll see what the trichs look like before I finalize that decision.

Thanks Kwigybo! I just so happen to have another update!

Day 45 pics:

0 Veg clone of Big Momma (a week or so behind the rest):

Big Momma:

Lil Pee Wee:

Skirt shots...forget exactly which plant they were:

You should be able to see where different buds are maturing faster than the others.

Big Momma is putting on some weight, I had to add a few more stakes the other day :jump:. I keep debating which pheno will be more interesting. Big Momma is growing fat, but lil Pee Wee could be frostier.

The smell is very sweet. Not really smelling any fuel...or if I am, it is too sweet and pleasant smelling for me to register it as such. The clones definitely have a fuel vibe; however.

Feeding regime is still the same. I'd like to see lots of amber this round; my last few rounds weren't able to go that far for one reason or another. Maybe 50% cloudy/50% amber? Maybe 30% amber. Hopefully this new camera can show it!

CaliMed, lovin' tha show. Really dig how that Bib Momma is throwin out them foxtails, beautiful. Looks like yer lil peewee is gittin ready to throw some too. Those skirt shots are killer and really details how much crystal production these gals are capable of. Mad coverage not only on where you want it, on tha nugs but also just fuggin climbing all over tha fans an' petioles. I was reiterating in another thread, in regards to maturation, to watch for complete calyx swelling firstly. In many books, articles and such you will read to watch for not only crystal condition but pistil condition. Too many times have I seen to early a harvest ..... tha calyx' are pinner and underdeveloped.

Thanks for the advice Steele! I really want these girls to hit their full potential.

Day 58 pics:

0 Veg clone of Big Momma:

Big Momma:

Lil Pee Wee:

I realized the other day, these plants may have an excess of fan leaves. Normally, I would clean up the fan leaves near the bottom few inches of the trunk...however, at least in the case of Lil Pee Wee, it is a very squat bush that branches out within an inch of coco. For the most part, it is maybe 4ft. max from my light to where the coco starts for lil Pee Wee. Therefore, I figured no need to get crazy pruning, the fans near the bottom (they could still get some beneficial light). All the puny bud branches were trimmed.

Any opinions on this? Do fan leaves suck away energy like a puny bud site?

More hairs are turning and the trichs are starting to have a little more of a snowy sheen to them.

----

Each of the clone mothers are doing well; it is about time to take clones to prepare for next run. I'll take at least 4 from each (Big Momma and Lil Pee Wee) and then run the best 4-6 in the tent (2-3 of each).

I keep debating about 4 vs. 6 plants. Four seems to be about the right number without too much crowding...but if I threw in 6, vegged for half the time (half a foot instead of a foot), get prune happy, then flip, could it be more beneficial?

I'm leaning towards a scrog next run, staking gets hard in flower with little room to wiggle.

Day 61 Pics:

Big Momma:

Lil Pee Wee:

0 Veg:

Went for a more overall shot of lil Pee Wee this time. She is real bushy, so it is hard to see much of the buds. I really should move her out of the way sometime so I could spend more time shooting Big Momma.

Found the first signs of PM on lil Pee Wee a few days ago in the one corner that doesn't have a ton of air flow...there are 3 fans on the floor already. Snip snip snip. Trimmed the few leaves with PM and sprayed that general area with milk water. I have an eagle eye out now.

Mini-update.

0 Veg:

Big Momma:

Lil Pee Wee:

These pics are on the blurry side, but show some progress. The 0 veg is starting to thicken up into a fat cola, which is making me debate throwing in a 6 plant short veg vs. the 4 plant scrog I was originally thinking for next round.
