Woman drives away with $2,000 from Taco Bell

Police in Dayton, Ohio, are looking for a young woman who pulled into a Taco Bell drive-thru and was handed a bag of money instead of her food.

The woman is believed to be in her 20s and was driving a silver SUV. The Dayton Daily News reports she was handed about $2,000 US - the restaurant's morning bank deposit.

An employee told police it's store policy to put the money into a Taco Bell bag, then hand it to a manager through the drive-thru window. But instead of giving the money to the manager, the employee made a mistake and gave it to the woman, the newspaper reported.

The employees only had a very basic description of the woman and no one, including a regular customer who sat behind the SUV in the drive-thru, remembered her licence plate.

She was described as looking about the same age as students at the nearby University of Dayton campus. Police have been unable to locate the vehicle or the woman.

Would the cops have the same concern, if this was not a business, and I say tough shit, they gave it to her..

yup me too, sure someone loses a job over it, but your 5 bucks an hour, is a dime a dozen

But their mistake, they should have to forfeit it.

So I give my wallet to someone by accident, can I get the cops to put out an apb

Nope. I don't take the money. Happened to me at my bank once. Deposited a paycheck, they deposited my check, gave me a receipt saying so, and gave me the same amount, cash, as if I cashed it.
Drove around through the drive thru again, to give the money back. It was the right thing to do. Period.
Karma.

That does not make it right. :ying:
Not right is finding a widows purse and keeping it.

Not right is ordering an expensive meal with lots of drinks, and just walking away (dine and dash)

Not right is knowing your local priest is buttfucking little boys, and not blowing his brains all over the altar

Not right is being a leo, and knowing that all your fellow leo are gonna go out tonite, get hammered, drive home, and beat the shit outta their wives, and still keeping that thin blue line from doing something

Not right is voting for a racist, misogynist, closeted homo pedophile because he's a Republican

Some dumbass hands me a corporations nite deposit thru a window instead of my crappy hamburger, and I don't notice till I'm 5 miles away

It's mine

Try all you want to justify it. It's still not the honest decision.
Now a days, honesty is easily dismissed.
I understand. :jerkit:

Don't preach on karma, asshole - my K has gotten me big bundles of weed sent by people I've never met, and my sons are both hetero, smart, athletic, chick magnets.

I talk what I practice - no ambiguity here. Don't like it - fuck off and die.

Drive thru banks? WTF! only in America!

Whether you are a Dudley Do-Rite sort or an evil opportunist; I gotta ask why the POlice are involved? someone hands you $2000 are you legally bound to give it back? The $2000 is not some corporation's money BTW, it belongs to the owner/operator of the franchise. What ever dog-food company that must own the name will get theirs no matter.

Mistake r no, they gave the young lady the money. I just don;t get why the cops were even called? And now, scores of people will be flocking to that Drive thru in hopes of cashing in. Publicity stunt?
