Yes I know, but anytime you have to kill a bunch of animals to maintain a grow or not die yourself should make you question your location choice

yea, i usually have them in the on spot geenhouse by now(44*) but its been snowin and below 32 everynight since last week. my buddy lost 100 in his greenhouse the other night, so im glad i waited.

i usually do 10 gal grow bags, but this year im splitting up the crop between two 100gal smarts, ten 20 gal smarts, and the rest in the earth.
hey aeroguerrilla, any tips on the switch to smarts?
im using a 20 gal indoors. love it.

difference in root structure between smart or camo pots and plastic

difference in root structure between smart or camo pots and plastic

I just transplanted 200 plants that I started on Valentines day in my greenhouse, these were all started from seeds half in plastic and half in camo pots aeration containers. The difference is amazing , the left side of my greenhouse is about a foot taller than the right size and the only difference is the growing containers. Not only are the aeration container plants taller but they are much wider, have larger leaves , etc. I am never using plastic again , not only are the plants smaller but they went in to shock when transplanted and the aeration container transplants went crazy when transplanted . I am a firm believer in this style of product and the pictures speak for themselves. Aeration containers have bright white roots that dont spiral the pot, the plastic container roots are off color and look like they are in desperate search of oxygen. Well now that you have my opinion look at these photos and come to your own conclusion. Remember these are the same strain , planted on the same day , raised in the same greenhouse.

WOW. That's incredible. I'd never have expected such a difference. Well done man. Great post.

Smart pots are great indoors. I am running some now - indoor passive (hempy style) hydro with perlite / coco as the medium. The only problem indoors is stability when they are moved. It helps to have something rigid to support them from below - I use runoff trays that fit perfectly beneath each bucket.
