They also stop focusing on the growing, selling weed main theme and started with boring cartel, mafia, mexican hit goofy boring same old same old, who cares stuff.
That's my beef with the show, all the people running around talking about "How realistic" It is, oh my ass, we all know better, but the average dufus with little to no MJ expierence does not.
So when they start out semi plausible, and then go trapesing off into pure fantasy land without letting people know that they are going from loosely fact based to complete fiction. it's a bit annoying to me.

I've got 3 seasons on dvd, but lost interest in the show. Nancy turning snitch was a letdown. The show never had any degree of detail regarding actual growing, and some of the premises weren't even realistic, like keeping the MILF strain growing inside a van while they were on the move. The Nancy character was sexy, slurping her mocha latte, but her not smoking pot was a bit of a turn off. Did enjoy Shane's mallet stroke to the mexi-bitches mellon though.

I do remember Silas seeing something wrong (an N def.) and Conrad telling him how to fix it though :)

I love how all the plants are the same ones you can buy at a party store.

Mary-Louise Parker - I would not kick her out of the bed for eating chili...

It cracked me up when Celia went to prison and her cellmate gave her the unwanted chola makeover.

She should have been killed off after she chucked lbs of Nancy's weed in the swimming pool back in in season 2 or 3.

Nancy's youngest son is turning into a little bad ass.

I laff when minor actor/actrix leave a good paying gig, 'cause they think their popularity is about them, and not from their role.

McLean Stephenson - remember him?

Killed his career - never got a good gig again.

Ms. Perkins will end up doing dinner theatre w/ Jamie Farr.

IF she's lucky.

Start checking faces at Arbees in a few years - she'll be doling out cheese sauce.

Story is always real simple and easy to relate to Some of us,,,,She is always in a fucked up situation and needs money and no matter how fucked up things are she keeps taking the hits and moving forward:dance013:

The show started out great! Kinda went sour with the whole cartel thing...you gotta understand that at the time of those seasons the Mexican cartel in north Baja and San Diego was going nuts. I think it was a great portrayal of current events in mainstream media. Yes the show is not about weed anymore , per say, but after 3 seasons, the viewer pretty much knows all the characters and hopefully for the producers and the network, the viewer actually likes the characters. Talking about weed and only weed would get pretty boring to the average viewer. I personally like the way it went. It shows what prohibition does, especially towards the end of the last season. Beautiful rich girls shooting up black tar heroin, organized crime, corruption of government and most importantly, the destruction of the lives of the America's youth. Shane went from troubled kid to straight up cracking a bitch in the apple with a croquet mallet...brilliant portrayal that inner city children are not the only ones that are exposed to violence, drugs and crime. Brilliant in showing what prohibition of Cannabis has done to the US and to Mexico. Guns going to Mexico to wage war, girls being sold as sex slaves here, their dirt brick weed and black tar heroin, speed and jarritos sodas...

Celia was a bitch. That was the point. You weren't suppose to like her. She is the anti-Nancy which is the character you are suppose to like. Celia was crazy! I bet she would be great in bed! Conrad hit it...I didn't see complain much afterward. I think its gonna suck not having her on the show but if Liz Perkins wants to be a dumb ass then I won't miss Celia.

Andy is the man! Great character! Kinda sucks that his character is growing up...

I heard this season was going to be the last one...anyone got any info on that?

i agree it's full of BS (just like 99% of TV), but once i started watching the shit, i couldn't stop!

sometimes it's just too much drama/not enough drugs and violence, but there are WAY worse things being watched (real housewives of XXXXX) and i feel exactly the same way about breaking bad

So you guys are silly. You all hated her because you hated her character.. Well that means she did a good job. She is a good actress and she was awesome to stick around so long in such a vilified role.

i gotta admit, i don't mind that her character leaves. her role originally served the purpose of being the average suburban shitty housewife but now shes just...well...tagging along. ive been catching up at watch weeds online since its not on hulu.
