I haven't read the whole thread, first few pages and last few, but this stinks to high heaven.

They are centralizing power and wealth at the expense of patients and caregivers.

I think they are really shooting themselves in the foot by doing this. Most caregivers will go back underground if/when this passes.

Senate gives initial OK to pot dispensary rules

DENVER—The Colorado Senate has given initial approval to proposed regulations for medical marijuana dispensaries.
Senators endorsed the legislation on Wednesday after making one significant change. The health department will have to come up with rules allowing doctors to waive sales tax on medical marijuana for ill patients.
While most prescription drugs aren't taxed, medical marijuana sales are subject to the state's 2.9 percent sales tax.
Backers fended off other changes they said would have killed the chances of passing regulations this year. The bill still would allow cities and counties to ban dispensaries within their borders, which critics say is unconstitutional. It faces another vote in the Senate before going back to the House for approval.

Actually, I am only growing xtras for me...I won't grow xtras for patients...the "affirmative" defense is kinda hairy...I have 25 on my license so I'm good. In fact, I have a friend/patient that has 25 as well, but i only grow what's on the Amendment for patients...if they want more they can grow it or find another caregiver...I ain't going to jail for anyone else but me!!!...

....and you're right...he does look like he just can't wait for a big ole sausage...

It's now 77 pages....... nothing like an easy read!

I wonder if those auditors will be called to testify against the grows if they get busted by the Feds?! Nothing like having a person you know will rat you out in a NY minute knowing what and where and how many you grow.

No more Caregiver for more than five patients, I wonder if you already have more than five, will they take some away?

Every single person who works in a dispensary or dispensary grow has to be fingerprinted and background checked 30 days before they start work....... and everyone needs an ID Card with their photo. This thing is insane!

I would hope those with more than 5 patients will be considered "grandfather clause" and allowed to keep those patients for the full year until their cards expire.

A huge number of dispensaries are going to close down...and vendors can't sell any more...

Good luck getting a 3/4 lb a day operation up from scratch in the summer of Colorado. Holy shit this is going to be crazy...
