Talked to friends in Maine on Wednesday and it was snowing. I always had to wait until around the end of May to put anything tender outside. The last frost date in central Maine is May 30. Coastal can be better. Better to be cautious and not lose those well grown monsters. It would be a damn shame to get whacked by a late freeze and have to start over.

ALL SOIL IS OUT!!! now all i gotta do is bring the 2000lbs of worm castings out there and setup the remaining smart pots. man just wait until you guys see the spots. fucking unreal. im talking full light sun up to sun down.
All the aks have fully taken up the 4gal potters and everyone is 4ft tall, real bushy. I think im going to prune them back before i put them out.
Also decided to throw 2 kush into the mix. So now im looking at 30 aks 2 bubblesours and 2 kush. then i got about 50-100 chemsours that i might pack into 1 or 2 smart pots. maybe like 9 plants per 200gal. i figure 20 of the 200s will have 1 a piece.10 will have 2 and the last 2 will have 9+ much smaller ones.

Good call on putting multiple plants in each s-pot. You'll be much better off that way with your climate.

hello friends,
this is my first post on this site, however, i had to ask .. i am interested in how often these will need to be watered as well? i am planning on using a substantial amount of the 200s, but only filling with 100 gal of soil in order to force the roots outward instead of down, therefore, keeping my canopy short and bushy while maximizing yields. i am wondering if this technique will work on the smart pots? anyone on here tried this method with the smart pots? i was hoping that using the bottom watering technique with the shallow h2o tanks or kiddy pools will force the roots to expand outward instead of thru the capillary matting and into the ground... we will see i guess.

wow I was expecting like 70 days or something. Does everything finish a little quicker than soil/coco in the aero tables? I might have to invest in something like that eventually...any suggestions?
