You like that Connie bottle with the Bulldog?

Looks horrid to me, the old label was much nicer imho.

I prefer this bulldog myself:

. Name a product with an expiration date on it....

the bottle of aqua shield i got at a store has an expiration date right on the bottle.

of course i did not see that till after i bought it and was quite upset to learn all the benficials would "expire" 4 months from the date I bought it..(even though the period is a year before expiration)

Lesson here is always pull you bottles from the back of the stack I guess

The back of the stack would be the oldest stock unless the shop totally ran out before replenishing...

Standard stocking is the oldest is in the front, and the newer stock is in the back.

Some places don't care, and don't really think hard about why they should do that (crappy business tactics I guess.) So some places will put the new stuff in the front. However, I bet 75% or more place put old stock in front.

Classic milk maiding tactics. And counter-milk-maiding techniques.

PS - The new Connoisseur "Bulldog" label sucks, too. Fire the new label designer.

In a normal industry you are probably correct. As a former retailer, and rep in this one... I can tell you I am a total lazy stoner, and I ordered when I ran out, unless it was something I can't keep on the shelves or go through every month, or.. caught a good promotion. I never was asked by employers, nor asked my employees to pull down the old stock to put the oldest in back. the cases come in and we just stock the shelves. I comend those who take the time to actually stock by date, but I don't know of anyone in the US who does it. out of the 2000+ products out there, we found what 2-3 fert co's w Exp. Dates??? :tiphat:

some places also say "grab the ones in the back, there fresh".

I have a feeling that the root of the problem was the 30-bottle Advanced Nutrients program you were running, and not Roots Excelurator (what an odd & unfortunate spelling...)

Fat fuzzy roots.

simpletons... im not trying to grow weed.
im trying to grow the best weed. not all 30 go in @ once.
infact ive got asmany OTHER BOTTLES as i do AN's.

HAVE YOU SEEN THE YELLOW BOTTLE LINE?!?!?!
3 DIFFERENT SEAWEEDS!!!! WTF!!
everything has a time and place.

i get phat fuzzy roots with pirhana (micorhizzal powder(SP?)) and organic-b(yest that feeds micorhizzal) nothing else required.

Jeez, why are you calling people simpletons? I'll give you one big tip for growing better weed - drop the fuckin attitude and eat some humble pie, then you might become open-minded enough to learn a thing or two.

To me, a simpleton falls for the AN hype and buys into the 'I need 30 bottles to grow great weed' BS.

All you need to grow great weed is the correct NPK, the 7 key trace elements in chelated form, the correct environment and patience. Anyone who says otherwise is either ignorant of how plants work or is trying to sell you something.

Roots Excelurator works great, dunno why you don't like it, I found it to work better than Canna Rhizotonic and Biobizz Roots.

Organic B feeds mychorrizae? Since when does Riboflavin (vitamin B) feed funghi? Superthrive is a cheaper source of Vit B and has been well proven over a long time to be damn good stuff.

Contrary to what AN and other nute companies say, roots don't need anything to be white and strong other than the correct rootzone environment - proper temperature, plenty of air and correct feeding.

I bet you're one of those 'Grandmaster Growers' AN manages to sucker in. I wouldn't smoke anything grown with 30 bottles, I shudder at what crap is in all those bottles and what is going into the plant and being retained into the final product.

Remember, the plant only needs these things for nutrition:

Nitrogen
Phosphorous
Potassium
Iron
Boron
Manganese
Magnesium
Calcium
Copper
Zinc

Everything else you can feed to a plant is just icing on the cake. However, these are all good additives that are worth using, the exact brand is irrelevant, just find the ones with the highest concentrations and least marketing BS:

Molasses
Seaweed
Humic/Fulvic Acid
L-Aminos
Potassium Silicate

If growing in soil, you can drop the Potassium Silicate as the soil contains sufficient silicates, plants don't need much silica. You could also drop the humic/fulvic as your soil should have plenty of humates in it already.

P.S. I'm running of Big Bud Powder (the old 0-15-40 Dr Hornby one, I got a big freebie last year) and Kool Bloom isn't sold in the UK, anyone got any tips on a good alternative for L-Aminos? No way am I buying the new Big Bud.

i believe AN has some good and some bad products and a lot of hype around all of them. I will say i do like voodo and have seen very good results with it, and yes i can get very healthy roots without it but there is a difference when using it. Can anyone tell me a similar product that is cheaper and works better.

Fat fuzzy roots.

I have to agree since using RE my roots have EXPLODED!!! Another really good product for roots is GREX by Cutting Edge Solutions

I actually love people who run AN's 2+ program; they increase the value of the weed I grow and gives me an even bigger edge in this game.

Keep doing what you do.

I was actually talking about AN. I didn't really think anyone else had exp. dates either, but then again I only used cannazym & rhizotonic once. you got me.

Canna has or had expiry dates on their food labels for ever.

yep all Canna products have expiration labels. I bought the big bottles of cannazyme and rhizotonic only to find out they expired 6 months from my purchase date. needless to say those bitches got returned.

Hard to say about the Cannazyme but I'm pretty sure its still ok after the expiry date. Rhizo I've been told will be a noticeable difference in how well the product works after the expiry date.

As for the hydro/soil food I wouldn't worry about it. Its good for along time.

yep your totally right. at the time i didnt know and didnt want to risk wasting money so i took them back but according to Canna Cannazyme will last past its expiration especially the new formulation which is not what i purchased. The rhizo definitely goes bad as you said……one of my friends had a old bottle congeal on him.
