hi, ive currently got 7 bagseed seedlings under a 15w energy bulb, getting them ready for the big outdoors, they are about 1 week old, but they're really stretching, there about 5/6cm tall nd starting to bend abit, is there anything i can do to stop them stretching? i will post pics soon, from the look of the leaves they're mainly indica.

Whats a 15 energy bulb? Do you mean a 15watt compact fluorescent?

Usually seedlings prefer a good light source, and they do require some airflow to stay strong. Sprouts that succumb to "damping off" or falling over indicate that you need more airflow and light intensity. Damping off is often fatal.

Hey man, what you are using is fine just make sure the bulb is close to the top of the plant and make sure to have a fan blowing gently on the plants to help them build their strength...also be careful on the watering a little goes a long way with seedlings...

with seven plants going you may wanna think about adding a couple more bulbs to beef up the wattage and lumens just a bit.

Think about what the plants get outside and try and bring that indoors minus the pest.

Ever think maybe poster is new to growing and has the light too far away from seedlings? Think before you type/post.
Bagseed isn't shit seeds .. some of the BEST strains came from unknown bagseed .. NOOB. There's a pot of gold waiting to found in bagseed genetics. You know very little, educate yourself please.

i am gunna keep 1 under under my 125w cfl, but i cant untill i get the space when i pot outside, its a stealth grow, i will get a better fan in there nd move the lights closer, but they look very healthy so far, growing quick.
thanks 4 the positive help, not for the mean 1's, i do kow quite a lot about growing, this is my 5th, but due to recent changes in living conditions it has to be small.

also im turning a guitar amp speaker in to the grow box 4 the 1 i keep, so ill put it in that 4 a while, but im gunna plant them out soon, i planted 1 alot smaller than this the other day covered with the top half of a bottle with the lid off 4 ventilation, it had luvly hot days of sun then the third day horrible rain, and she was eaten by a rabbit on the 4th day, but she grew loads nd survived the rain.

i have just improved my setup, for 1 fan blowing across the plants, i also have a different light, one that my mate gave me he got it out of a skip in a building site, its basically a reflector with 2 26w cfl's in, but 1 bulbs broken, its 6500k

a little common sense goes a long way! breeder and grower of 30+ years i guess i do need to educate myself no such thing as bagseed genetics..only landrace genetics..just cause it came in a cardboard box dont make it cardboard seeds or cardboard genetics. LandRaCE Do your homework

hey, sorry i havent posted in a while, there are no 5 plants remaining but there doing great! there nearly a foot tall most of them, and there bushing out very nicly, ive had them under a building site cfl spotlight that i found in a skip, its only 2 26watt bulds, but cause of the luvly weather ive been putting them outside every day, there going to my grow spot tomorrow hopfully, most of them are getting STINKY!
