If they want it to be legal, why do they use intentionally misleading headlines to claim that the majority want it illegal? Their own poll shows that approaching 60% don't think people should be punished for pot.

More bald faced lies. Shouldn't be surprising though, it's all they got.

Many Americans support legalization and many states already permit medical use. An end to prohibition would generate billions in tax revenue and relieve the criminal justice system. But is it the right thing to do?

Is it the right thing to do? How can you honestly think they are pro-cannabis if they make statements like that? The only thing they are is pro-sensationalism. They know that cannabis is a passionate subject to people on both sides of the fence and they are doing nothing more than exploiting it.

this is clearly pro pot. they frame the argument around money mostly. They need to focus on civil liberties more.

There doesn't appear to be a single moment spent fact-checking at CNBC.

I hope people realize soon that opinion pieces and blogging does NOT equal reporting and news.

You know, Hash, I think you'd be right if anyone gave a damn about civil liberties. Hell, we all walk around with tracking devices without protest...we even pay to use them every month. All people care about is that $$$$$. Fucking weak.

If people cared about the civil liberties aspect of MJ, the shit would already be legal...

i'm looking at this coverage as 'there is no such thing as bad publicity'
legalization is way further up on the radar than it was before, it's getting talked about much more
the more talk the better, it's what we need to push the ball to the top of the hill

Word.

Trish, the chick that did "Marijuana Inc." on CNBC, is fucking hot. She was on this afternoon. As Mr. Herbert would say, "hmmmmmmm".

Erm, I think that statement is more of a hook line than a skeptic comment.

Google any product name + scam. You'll see "is XX a scam?!" then you open the site and it's just an advertisement for it.

But yes, they are definitely doing this because controversy = interest

^oh ya it is about the ratings for them, but if they get ratings being pro pot then fine with me.

I wont forget that they are about money though. if it benefits them they will turn on us like rabid wolves.

reminds me of this song, hmm..."cash rules everything around me, cring it get the money, dolla' dolla' bill ya'all!"

ratings translate to $$$ !

word up indeed =) maybe more would follow in their footsteps? hmm...

Just for the sake of argument smokefrogg it's.... "Cash rules everything around me, C.R.E.A.M, get the money... dolla dolla bill y'all"

But yeah it does. I pictured corporate heads doing some Tom Cruise , Tropic Thunder type shit... "G5 or the Tuggernaut!! It's your call..." (If you haven't seen Tropic Thunder watch it...)

Cheers NYY
