I just wish we had moved two years ago when we were more solvent.

Shit, I was the one who downloaded and printed off the Freedom Card from the NORML website two days before.

I knew what to do but when 5 state boys showed up on the country road outside my house, the first one threatening to shoot my dogs, I turned into a sniveling pile of snot. Ol man of mine tried to put up the good fight, but it was too late.

I don't really like it either, I love my critters too. They are my family.
I just don't know anyone who wants an ancient, unrideable Thoroughbred and a couple old barn cats.

No, really, I would rather hold them as they passed peacefully than have them end up in the wrong hands.
