Thanks for posting the Lib dem policy Grimweeder. Seems a sound approach. I like the fact they will look at alcohol too. It seems they will take advise from the 'experts' like the police, prison services, independent drug council to tackle social problems instead of listening to the crap the Daily mail dishes out

I'm so sick of the Mail, this government, the tories...They have my vote so far. Nice to see Clegg doing well so far in the debates too.

I didnt get to see the leaders debate... But from the news today the Lib dems are the only ones that came out of it with any credit.

I understand that the "debate" was heavily monitored & the questions were chosen before hand & no questions from those int he studio.

The debate was good for the liberals. They do also support some of the green parties policys. Good for us. I'm voting for Nick Clegg...44 and I'm voting for the first time lol.

he was the only one that looked genuine, the other 2 looked like lying cnnts

That's because the other two are lying cnuts. They both base everything they say and do on headlines and sound-bites. They say what they think will get them votes one day and completely contradict themselves the next day after they look at the opinion polls. e.g. Anyone remember "Hug a hoodie"?

It's not that Clegg was that impressive he's no JFK or Churchill, but simply that he was a reasonable and intelligent man who appeaed more concerned with implementing policies that will actually work for the benefit of everyone than scoring debating points.

I do hope that we get a hung parliament because I have no faith at all in either the tories or labour and wouldn't like either to have absolute power. We have a parliament full of lying, thieving career politicians who don't give a stuff about the country. What we really need is a good electoral enema to clear out the shit.

Once that's done we can try every one of the fuckers who voted for the invasion of Iraq for Treason.

I was watching the Lib Dem daily press conference this morning.

Nick Clegg was laying into the banks, and how they haven't been lending out cash to businesses.

Quote: "Trying to grow a business without money is like trying to grow plants without soil".

.....which made me giggle.....

after reading this forum from start to end i think ive made my mind up as to whos getting my vote, im in my late thirties and have never been convinced by the toffee nose views of them that say there in touch with the people so have never used my X.
as for the member who stated earlier that if you dont work you should be shipped out (i cant remember the name and dont know how to go back and look now ive started). you really need a reality check when the "credit crunch" started my partner was laid off along with several others with the excuse the company was down scaling only to find out two weeks later the company had taken on 15 poles/foreigners.
then 5 weeks later the construction job i was in came to an end as the company folded this was back in oct-nov 09 were still unemployed and belive me its not for trying but when youve got up to 150 people going for 1 job what chance have you got.
so for this im classed as a benifit scrounger but MPs can claim thousands every year for expences. give your head a wobble your as out of touch as most of the MPs.

Is this a good thing????
i think that it is-on the basis that when you are bankrupt you don't buy a Porsche-especially one that you will never use.

I'm with you Budlover-alot of decent people are going through hard times right now and things are going to get worse for at least a couple of years.

cheers

I don't think we need a big expensive nuclear deterrent. The empire's gone and we are just a small island state, not a superpower. We've got more than enough in the way of conventional forces to provide for our defence needs. We just need to stop sending them to die in pointless wars.

i think i know who im voting for now and i want labour gone too. everyone should be allowed a plant or at least to be able to get hold of weed without having to goto some scummy dealer. there needs to be some control of it too, to stop children from getting hold of it, which i guess is why it will goto class c?
do i have to sign up somewhere vote??

If you hadn't already registered, you've missed the deadline for new signups, which was Apr 20th.

Most people should have their voter cards through the post by now. Mine came a couple of days ago.

£65 a week on the dole is hardly scrounging .. 1 million young folk on the dole ..
they seem to be using these back to work schems for cheap Labour , 13 weeks contract with 9 weeks being paid @ 5.60 an hour then a lie that they might be taken on, only to be paid off and thrown back on the dole with the employers shouting next .
I should know I was a charge hand that was paid off , coz they ran out of european money to fund the scheme , so it turned out that the eu were funding the employability team & not the goverbent ( we helped people on long term benefits get basic builiding skills )
So I was employed to help long term umemplyed folk devolp skills & confidence , only to be paid off 18 months later coz they (council ) ran out of money , probably because they had all their money in isave in Iceland ??? infukinsane .
The Bankers, the politicians, expenses scandal , bonuses etc ......
£65 a week is a joke and a twisted sense of an equal society ,Yes we are all equal ....... some more equal than others.
the policies of goverments have failed the test of time and the poor.

sundays child

When things got tough in the eighties the governement told the poor, the unemployed and the underpaid that it was their fault and treated them like shite.
That was under Thatcher. Cameron and those around him used to go to bed with pictures of Maggie and have a wank. No matter what they say now, if they have power they will beat the rest of, just like Maggie did, because it gives them a hard on.

I urge everyone to vote tatically to keep the Tories out.
