nice one zed----iv coverd them with netting and put the last 12 pots 6ft up on a wooden shelf----its only the pots with seeds germing or poping there heads up---once they reach a certain hight theres no probs---all perlite is coverd---i put the fon in the ground today--even though the plants look or are small the roots are at the bottem of the pots--ie i put them in to the ground---ill put the rest in big pots with the bottems cut out------could do with some rain lol---gonna put plants out as soon as we have a decent bit of rain----the water crystals are in the ground just waiting for the rain---last year 5 or so plants got pushed out of there holes when the crystal finaly swelled---the cold temps are worrying a little but i guess it will sort the weak ones out--i put the hose on the hot tap and waterd the flower bed--real hot --i thought it might kill the slugs and insects---waited a couple of hours and then planted the fon--the soil 7inches down was still warm felt realy nice to the touch----60 or so made it a lot got broken by the mice----i still have 60 inside and ill put them in the biggest pots i got--so i can move them if need be all will be seeded---yea the biddysearly is a good plant--i think i grew it last year or the year befor--stay safe all

Thanks for the reply Gerrit,iv'e not strarted the earlys yet,and have a biddysis mother,
will wait till end of may, before they go in the ground...happy to know they get big,as size want be a problem.....

Been out today, dug over two new plots, and then did a spot of fishing...relaxation to the max....love being out in the open air.

Still scratching my head on what strains to do,i got a bit carried away over the winter collecting different outdoor strains, and making crosses, should be a very interesting year.

Hi All .
Pics on page 11 of Biddy Early , crusted with thricomes & one hell of a lovely smoke . Made some mind blowing bubble as well (ask Zed) .
The plants in question was grown in 40-45Lt pot & seeded so i left it a little longer until the seeds were matured , chopped it around 10oct , this plant reached 6ft & at least 4ft+ wide with a good thick stem & plenty of thick budding . Had a slight issue with some mould as i had a fair amount of rain on its last 3wks so sprayed with bi-carb when i had some breeze . It seemed to help & it raised the Q sometimes asked b4 , is seeded bud stronger ? . I thought it was but maybe those out there that recieved some can tell you that .
Obviously a sensi should mature slightly earlier , towards their finish i placed the plants under some heavily ivy`ed trees to help protect from the heavy rain with not a lot of sunlight , if they`d been in the direct sunlight i reckon they`d come in earlier .

cocked that one up

cocked that one up

Hi All , looking through some of my pics on disc & i found a few more of my Biddys . I`ve posted this pic coz i was well out on it`s size :moon:
It was the height of plant to bird box that got me thinking , the bird box is only 2ft behind where the plant stood so you hav`nt got one of those pics where the foreground is well in front of any object behind (an old trick with fishermens photos) . I have lights out there so i have just been out with a tape & measured the height of bird box from floor - height of pot & it works out that the Biddy from compost height was around 7ft 6ins & a fair bit wider. :wallbash:

All the propogators & cold frame cleaned/washed & sterilised , 80 odd pots loaded with compost , thermometers in frame to find the ideal temp & will split a few beans this weekend .

I`m not set up with any lights so no clones for me but another grower i know will happily help me out .But if the F1 & F2 come good there will be selective pollination on some buds from the best male . I will talk to the grower :tiphat: that developed the strain & see if he has any other plans to either keep the original strain or any improvements i could make .

i bet you stabbed yourself after she was puffed?

Believe me other thoughts were running around my head :):blowbubbles:

has anyone seen this--gorrilla growing paradise --could save so much time and effor++++++long john silver---pukka seeds

auto flowering

This variety has been a long time coming and definitively confirms that the times they are a changing! As believe it or not this is deciduous herbaceous perennial strain!

For those of you that are not that horticulturally aware this means it has the ability to re-emerge after it has died.

Yes the seeds and not so commonly the plant can over winter and re-emerge come the spring, as in this little, or should we say big beauty will auto flower once it is established - if left to be it will set seeds, then these seeds will grow and then these plants will do the same thing so on and so forth ad infinitum!

For those of you that have still not seen the light, this means that it can grow wild and if left unchecked will colonise the areas where it is placed! in one season it can produce 3-4 generations of offspring and as each generation matures they will do the samething!

In plain English this variety can grow wild and colonise - if left will come back with a vengeance every season there after!

This strain has similar genetic characteristics as the Big Bad John (auto flowering) variety however is mellow as a chellow compared to its obese stronger older brother.

Other seed banks have tried to buy the entire supply from us to stop these seeds hitting the market for fear of what this would do to the seed industry! But lol this is more important than mere money - let these seeds go forth and prosper and re take what is rightfully theirs :)

`You heard of the low rider well this is the high rider`

Flowering: 7 weeks-----u only hae to plant once and sit back for like a couple of years---lol

RE Pukka Seeds; I'd avoid 'em.. My friend got some appalling germination rates and was told "you shouldn't have germinated them, it's illegal, they were sold as a souveneir" - suppose customer service isn't much of an issue when a mug buying 1 packet nets as much as the next seedbank selling 5. A good example of their bullshit: they sell G13 - which is a clone (hype aside) - where'd the father come from?

Ordered a pack of 10 Purple Maroc which I'm going to run with the PW, Lemon Skunk & AutoAKs. Anyone still looking for seeds should check FMS website directly, as well as the Purple Maroc they've got an Outdoor Grapefruit which sounds pretty good! :)

Hope everyone's plans & season beginnings are going smoothly, can't wait to crack some seeds. :)

EZ

PS. Cheers BGB/RR was quite stoned and imagined it in a funnel shape for some reason, makes sense tho.
